Early thoughts on NRL Strike Design???

Hi All,

Any early thoughts on the quality of the design on Series 2 NRL. I don't mind the look of the Award Winners , Top Prospects look like they will be good , Predictors look like they will be good , Club Player and Team of the year could take or leave and the commons I think I actually like.
This is my query with the design.







If you take a look at the logo from series 1 $2.99 a packet Select make an effort in branding the series
Then look at the logo for Series 2 $5.50 a packet and looks like someone took 2 minutes on photoshop to slap together the names.

Any Thoughts

Personally I like the look and quality of the Promo cards I received & really looking forwrd to the cases arriving next week. I do agree with your statement on the design of the Logo, it does look a lot plainer than series 1 Logo.

I actually like the look of the Logo.. It's simple.. And all up.. The cost of the set lets you know it should be a better set..

I think the set looks good.. I won't rave.. It's not a step up from Classic rather a step back.. And I have invested quite a few $$$$'s into this set already.. But for me.. It's the love of the bust.. I'll hopefully have a good bust.................... But considering we didn't get a premium last year........ I think everyone is glad to be just opening ANYTHING rather than another Champions set...

The ratios are terrible for what your paying for. I will be keeping my cash in my pocket and picking them up on ebay at a later date. Quite happy to let everyone else get excited about them while i save my money.

I agree with you Peter, the Strike logo looks a little similar to the AFL Prestige set from last year. Its pretty unimaginative and looks like it has been slapped together pretty quickly.

Unoriginal, a lack of total creativity, the same old ideas recycled again and again, if the medal sig redemption cards look like the Hayne one in the flyer then they are absolutley the worst thing I have ever seen, a signed base card would look better, why anyone would pay 750 for one as someone just did is beyond my imagination. The fact Select can keep coming up with this crap, and people still buy is crazy to me. How can anyone be genuinely excited for this? Really?

im just excited about busting the boxes. wont be keeping any of the cards anyway. but do like the look of them in general

I think the silver on black is supposed to pop like ud black (If it works, i like), but i have nothing more negative to say as there is like 30 pages of my dribble on another thread.

I think I will wait to see the cards in the flesh before making too many negative comments about the cards. I am hoping that the Award Winners , the predictors and the redemptions are going to have a quality finish. We will just have to wait and see.

I must admit both Series 2 logos do look crap but as long as the cards are good then who cares.
