I think the white triangles tie in with the name of this series. It makes an "X" which denote "strike" as in bowling. Perhaps a little thought has gone into design
My guess is they are graphic designers who are not footy fans.. Otherwise next level creativity would kick in..
And.. Yeah.. Gallen deserves a Sig card damn it!

Ok apart from the fact that they look like they were designed in 5 minutes using paint and not 1 new idea after how many years? (Unless you call CPOTY and TOY from 2 years ago fresh).
These are my main issues with this set-
1. No Parralel- I know alot of you are happy about this and i really dont know why, It adds value to boxes/cases. 432 Packs in a case, say .50c ea......hmmm and
2- No 1:2 Box insert- This is my main problem, once again lost value. They start off at $40+ea and steadily rise over the years. Just look at 2006 Legends and 2005 Inspirations and see what we are missing.
and after all this they raise the price? WTF.
It has nothing to do with no Sharks high end sigs as i wasnt expecting 1 and the high ends are the only thing they got right. You cant really miss here unlike 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and even captains sigs from 09.
Just my opinion and if you guys like them, go nuts

after Paul Gallens effort is origin 2, select would have to give Gallen something big next year!!!

I agree 100% justin.
i for one did want the parallel set. mainly for the value but also its another gordon card i can add to the collection.
however on the autos i was hoping for something different. secretly hoping for a captain courageous or mr consistent auto set. Eg Gallen , Lockyer, Petero

Yeah I'm with Justin on this also. The parallel sets are a pain to collect but for that reason you get some medium term value out of them. My vote is still for a state of origin captains set. I know it's extra money for select to pay the players but they could do it in conjunction with the former origin greats charity and have the players donate their fees.

All I can say is GO THE SHARKS AND THE COWBOYS... At least I know this year.. My team cards aren't going to cost me $1000+ like the St George fans will be forking out........
4 sigs and they get 2?.. Real fair game Select.. Give us a decent signature set....!!!!!!
