Australian Idol Season IV

So who got voted out tonight? I was watching a DVD so I missed the verdict... Also, it seems like there's 2 16yr-old girls in the comp by some of the replies here? Who's Lisa, and who's Jessica? The only names I really know are Mutto (how could you forget), Klancie (the country girl), Levina, Bobby, and the other names are a bit fuzzy...

Reigan Derry got voted out :( Lisa is the one who's small, has a voice like missy higgins, sorta monotoned, whereas jessica is the one from darwin, booming voice, smiles a lot, actually think she turned 17 the other week

Ive sung since i was 5, played guitar since i was 8, can play drums, bass, and a bit of piano as well...doesnt mean my opinion is more valid than yours or anyone elses.

i dislike jess and lavina cos theyre voices are not original in the slightest, technically perhaps they have the finest voices but its been done to death, there's a couple of girls who sound like them in idol every single year. they have too narrow a range, their specialty is diva's like celine/whitney and thats it.

Ah, ok... Thanks for the help, champ! So Jessica's the young'un I like, Lisa's the one I'm not too keen on... And is Reigan the farm-girl, or the other chick?

Curly haired one, the farm girl is Klancie...Jeez i know way too much about idol #-o I actually went to 3 shows last yr

I can kind of see the point about the "diva" thing, but IMO, that's actually the hardest stuff to do, the high, drawn-out notes... As for wanting something a bit different, I can respect that also, but for me I'd prefer something that's gonna blow my socks off (Levina/Jess), rather than something "easy on the ears and a bit different" (Lisa/4KQ lol...) But yeah, at least in my eyes, someone like Lisa will get a good reaction from most straight off the bat with the whole "cute and vulnerable" thing, which also puts me off. Add that to the fact the judges keep gushing "I can't believe you're only 16, so fragile, so different and blah,blah,blah, while when a young guy came on who they thought should be 10-foot tall and bullet-proof (Joseph), they cut him down for the same reasons they praise her...

Thanks again, champ! =D> Yeah, actually she was a nice bit of eye-candy, but if I'm judging just on pure singing talent, she'd be out before too long anyway...

Lisa....is crap. She is too nervous. Her voice is not what everyone is saying it is IMO!! She is a crap performer.

Mutto and Ricky shouldnt have been in the bottom three last night....and Reigen deserved to go for singing something noone knows.

Surely the contestants realise that this is just as much a popularity contest as it is a singing contest.....which is why the likes of Chris, Bobby, Damien, Dean and Jess will do well!! Cause they have big personalilites....and can sing
 
its just shit stirring for ratings, jess looks fine i reckon, not overweight at all. maybe a bit of baby fat but thats natural for a 16 yr old girl.

the funniest thing is that it came from the tubby bitch kyle...hypocritical much? :roll:

Agreed....but at the same time i think he is right.

Unfortunatley it is the way the general "society" is and if she was to win or go close she would critisized for her weight (not that i agree, as i think she looks fine) the same way Casey Donovan was/is.#-o

Like i said i dont agree with it, but as i have mentioned in a previous post, IDOL is just as much a beauty/popularity contest as it is a singing contest which is why Dean is considered one of the favourites to win.....
 
Reigan shouldnt of left for singing Karnivool.
I thought she was awesome, great talent and a metal head at heart, good to see.
My favs are Mutto, Damien and Jessica.
I think Damien last two songs have been bloody awesome. The one he sang last week was so awesome it left me with goosebumps.
