2011 NBA FINALS - Dallas v Miami - SPOILERS within!

What a battle. Great to see the Heat take the lead back, Dallas made runs to get back in it but the Heat stuck with it and managed to get the W.

Chalmers definitely the unsung hero of the Finals and particularly this game. And Bosh made a HUGE shot after being very tentative the entire game. I was concerned with LeBron though. I thought he made better decisions, and lots of his assists were to key baskets, but it seems like he struggles to find a balance between taking over in terms of scoring, and playing the playmaker. Did anyone else think he passed up a LOT of open shots, particularly drives when the lane was there? He could have got to the cup or free throw line plenty of times...

Wade unbelievable though. The Finals is truly his stage to shine. Some of his baskets were ridiculous. And he didn't hesitate either. Big-time player.

GREAT Game 3 !
I can't believe Nowitzki missed that shot. Bad luck ... [-X
But I said it: "You put the shooters in & use them, you're gonna win the game. Chalmers brought Miami back and in a way gave them the chance to win! Incredible win by the Heat.
Bosh so patient and smart to hit the winning shot. Lebron was guarded so well, it seemed like he didn't do much, but don't forget LeBRON brought Miami to the Finals, but this is WADE's team !! :worthy:

Gotta say, Terry seemed to have a lot of ugly shots and I kinda hold him responsible for this loss...

that was the same thing i thought. shot very poorly when he was entrusted with the responsibility.

credit to Chalmers for a great performance off the bench.

By the way, anyone see that underhanded/backhanded flip pass from LeBron to Bosh for that game-winning shot? That pass was ridiculous. I worry when LeBron looks so not aggressive though. He's either all a scorer or all a passer. Needs to be both!

Nope - Wade had it going and Lebron kept the ball moving. Think you're overanalysing if you're gonna get on Lebron's back about that. He didn't really have a shooters flow at any time during the game and Wade's matchup with Kidd is by far the preferred matchup as it forces a double team, whereas they leave Marion on Lebron and everyone stays with their guy.

Wade was pure class and Chalmers hit the sort of shots you'd expect Terry to make at home....

Great win Heat and a great series to watch.

Nowitzki was awesome!

Having said that - u take away that backcourt violation 3 that they gave Chalmers and it's a different ball game

The actual stat is since the Finals went to a 2-3-2 format in 1985, the Game 3 winner after the first two games were split is 11-0 in the series.

Nah he played great, great assists and some great defense. I just thought two or three times when Wade had the defense on its heels and kicked it to Bron, Bron had a wide open lane, and he either drived it but then didn't shoot, or hesitated a little.

That 3 backcourt violation was a mistake. As was the rebounding foul on Haslem with the Mavericks in the bonus which tied the game as Nowitzki went to the line. There's always going to be a few calls here and there, can't blame one for the outcome of the game. No way you can blame a play in the 1st quarter for the end result of the game when there's still 3 quarters to play. Unless you don't think the Mavericks are good enough to make up for one basket that was called wrongly.

Didn't blame the shot - and don't care either! But just saying...I mean 3 pter and they won by 2 so woulda been a bit different....

Oh yeah I getcha.

Ideal spot for the Heat to be in, 2-1 with 2 left at Dallas. They have to keep the foot on the gas and get a win, a split in the next two games.

Then back to Miami to close it out in 6. Go Heat!

Damn....... really expected Dirk to hit that last shot as well. Not like it was a hard shot for him. But in the end I think the Mavs struggles from 3 in the latter stages of the game cost them.

Gawd Van Gundy is a whinging commentator... shot clock down to 2, Lebron gets the ball off a screen and takes a 3. VG comes out saying if he'd have missed that he'd have been criticised, but if he makes it it's a good stroke. What a tool. Um, he had no choice and it was a decent shot off a screen. Never a questionable shot. Just wish he'd shut the heck up.

Ummmm dude..... read what you wrote again. Van Gundy wasn't saying it was a bad shot, he was saying that others would say it was a bad shot if he missed it & because he made it it's a good stroke...... so in other words he was saying it was a good shot because he had to shoot it more or less.

Actually what I'm saying is that Van Gundy is biased and clearly in love with Lebron, to the point where his commentating is very annoying because he's saying "what everyone else would say about Lebron" in whatever situation. It was a fine shot. Love Lebron or hate him, in that situation there was no better option, and it wasn't a bad option anyway! Yet out of nowhere, Van Gundy is going on about how if he'd missed the shot people would be saying it was a bad shot because everyone's so against Lebron blah blah. Just a really annoying negative commentator. I like the guy who actually calls the game, the others are not needed...

I actually agreed with Van Gundy's comment about Lebrons shot. Some people would give him crap about it whilst there was nothing wrong with it at all. Also..... Van Gundy is one of the best commentators around; always gives me a good laugh!

Stevenson out calling Wade and LeBron "actors" and saying "we can't foul them hard otherwise they'll act and it'll be a flagrant or we'll be suspended."

What a joke. Wade and LeBron have been fouled hard several times this post-season and I can't recall any that have lead to suspensions or even flagrant 1's for that matter. Maybe one on Bosh was a flagrant (Boozer) but that's because Bosh looks like a stick-insect so any hard foul looks like it does severe damage on him.

Get real Stevenson, you're a joke.
