Confused by Aussie Post Postage

I've found the privately owned & run post offices (the small ones in strip malls etc) are much more likely to overcharge you. Just go to the big ones at Westfields or delivery centers and you'll get the best deals :)

Oh, and it helps when they get to know you and you're pleasant with them, unlike cliffy was LOL!

Having never sent away cards, I went into Aust Post to ask them how much it was for stamps for a normal Bubble wrapped postage and they said it was $3.80 for each package as I had 2. I thought that was fairly steep, but when i returned home i recieved a package from ruckers which would have weight prob the same and the stamps on it were only $1?!?!

Not one to make a scene because it's only a few dollars but did I do something wrong or did my local post decide to rip me off on this one? lol Any help would be appreciated guys! Thanks in advance.

Pete

P.s: If this is in the wrong forum, many apologies. #-o

It's probably already been said but you were charged as a package when you should have been charged as a LARGE ENVELOPE (as long as it is not more than 2cm thick).

Yep
Its certainly in the $30 region. Maybe $38 or something.
Just ask at the counter if theres any discount if you buy $100
They dont publicise it very much

$35 for 100 bubblemailers @ Aussie Post? Since when? I've never ever been told this by my Post Office. Still, I can fit a bit more in the Officeworks ones :D

It was $32 for a box (qty:100) but it went up just recently to $34. Just bought a box yesterday.... Its a lot cheaper than buying them individually for 85 cents each.

Thanks for the info.
i will try to get a box too then..
coz i guess i will be sending quite a lot as well as receiving them hehe
cheers
