And that is why I'll continue to crack boxes but just the cheaper variety, think I enjoy collecting base sets more anyway.

if you want to collect base cards, i reckon crown royale 09/10 looks pretty sweet, or anything spx especially the 08/09 set, looks sick in die cut and acetate...

Best base cards are from way back...... but I know you're probably talking about recent stuff. If not, then check out any of the Fleer Showcase stuff or Topps Gold Label & perhaps some E-X stuff too.

Yeah agree'd these and 97-98 EX base are nice.
Don't bother with the 96-97 Showcase set they are shyte
