haha nah thats about it.
Thank goodness for the likes of Giggs to give me something to comment on. Sure as hell don't have any football to talk about. Except for the deadwood on its way out of the Emirates, but I'll reserve judgement till it happens...

Video - Top 10 Premier League goals - The Sydney Morning Herald

Some absolute pearlers on this vid. Can't argue about any of them. I'd have Tevez's free kick vs Stoke in there somewhere.

My favourite is definitely the Bolton team goal - dunno who scored it but that was mesmerizing. Bale's volley is crazy good too.

From Nemanja Vidic to Carlos Tevez - Goal.com UK

Here's a quality team of the year too.

Anyone fancy some transfer rumours??

Lets start with Samir Nasri to Manchester United..

More realistic ones that i fancy include a straight swap with Blackpool, Brown for Adam :D

The Nasri one was started from Nani or Evra telling him to come if i can recall....I think there is nothing in that....

Brown for Adam would be great but cannot see it happening...IMO Adam is signed sealed and delivered to Pool

/\/\ yeah im pretty sure adam will be a dirty scouser next season.

kaka to chelsea?
kuszczak to wba?
sneijder to manutd?
a.young to liverpool?
bale & van der vaart to chelsea for 70mill. aaaaahahahahahaha.

some more solid rumours:

g.cahill to mancity (boyata as part of deal)
dani alves to chelsea
foster to spurs

and fergie has confirmed the signing of de gea:
VDS Replacement

according to Athletico and De Gea's people there is no truth in the move yet..

Apparently United are favourites to sign Young.. waste of time IMO..

I heard that young one as well....IMO i agree with you about being a waste of time....Good player but i think United need to focus on a good midfielder

The bolded ones are ones that i cant see happening at all.....

Kuazcak could be a real chance of going there....With the De Gea signing and it being denied i wouldnt think Fergie would come out and say something if it hadnt been concrete yet

Extremely keen for the Champions League Final, regardless if we win or lose..

As much as i would LOVE the boys to win, if they don't i will still be proud of there efforts.. after all, they are playing Barcelona, the BEST team in the world..

Loving some of these odds.. particularly the Hernandez one to score at anytime, @ 3.60... :D

'bout time...
nah, hes had a great career. shame for the english he never turned up for international matches...
is giggs following?

No more Giggs jokes Pepper - that's just mean.....

Indeed - a true great. Could still pull out a great game now and then but probably a good time to call it quits.

Next year's United team will look a lot different....

I believe Giggs want to have another crack. His missus and close friends and family have told him to stop and give it away while he still has the chance. He feels like he's still up to it though and is still very much enjoying it and can't see any reason to stop. The day will come when he can't continue at all, so while he's still working his magic, good luck to him.
Needs to realise its not all about finishing on top though.

well that certainly opens up any transfer rumours about Nasri and Sneijder...

I feel we are doing a FIFA (the game), which is how i describe buying players for positions where you are already loaded with to make your team look better... Ashley Young, why would you buy him when i believe we have several players who can play either side of midfield (Giggs, Valencia, Nani, Bebe, Anderson, Park, Stewart etc etc)

Why would we buy Young when we already have guys who can play there.. There are 4 positions we NEED to focus on and they are the Keeper, Right-Back, Centre Midfield and maybe even Left Mid..

---------- Post added 31-05-2011 at 06:16 PM ----------

So for next season, assuming we don't sell any players this is how the first squad (the players who are certain to play at least a few games) here is how United look per position..

GK: Lindegaard, Kuszcazk, Amos.

Right Back: Fabio, Rafael, O'Shea, Evans.
Left Back: Evra, Rafael, Evans, O'Shea, Fabio.

Centre Back: Vidic, Ferdinand, Evans, Smalling, Gill, Brown.

Right Midfield: Bebe, Valencia, Nani, Stewart, Park, Anderson
Left Midfield: Giggs, Nani, Park, Anderson.

Centre Midfield: Carrick, Fletcher, Anderson, Giggs, Park.

Strikers: Macheda, Hernandez, Rooney, Bebe, Welbeck, Diouf, Owen, Berbatov.

Sorry if i missed some ;)

Anyway, there is no depth in some positions, especially Centre Mid.

If we are planning to sell players this year to make some extra cash this is what i think could happen...

OUT (from):
Owen
Brown
Kuszczak
Macheda
Welbeck
Berbatov (if he wants to go)

IN: I adapted this list from goal.com (our favourite source  )
Again, these are the possibilities..

De Gea
Young
Adam
Sneijder
Nasri
Rodwell
Modric

Regardless of whether the financial aspects of Nasri's new contract is sorted out, Arsenal will never do that sort of business with a major rival. He might leave on a free in a year, but pretty sure he'll sign a new contract soon.
