State Of Origin One (Spoilers)

I didnt agree with the original team picked at all, but they did well.....we showed alot more heart especially in defense than we have over the last 5 years. Very proud of the lads for hanging in and even getting our noses in front with about 10 to go. Having said all that we can't go changing the team around, it has to stay as is for all 3 games in my opinion, if we start changing the halves and shuffling things around to get Hayne in the side it's not going to do us any good. The only change IF ANY would be young out for a utility player that's it. Or if were going to keep young use him specifically as a back row option, ennins plays 80 minutes every week and is the best dummy half NSW has got.

Bring on game 2!!!! Go NSW!!!!

NSW had to defend most of the match and was starved of territory
we got in there half only twice in the 2nd half and scored twice good to see thaiday running in as third man again wouldn't expect any less from a filthy broncos player

Thaiday..........filthy..........WTF, Gallen would win the award for most filthy player............he's a frakin idiot. New South Welshmen are just pi55ed off that their team failed AGAIN, sh1t, if I was NSW I would pack up my bat and ball and go home....................

A couple of years ago i would have let this comment slide. He has really cleaned up his act and is a far more fair and disciplined player these days. He tries 100% every week for the Sharks no matter the score line and tbh we are often at the end of a few. He gives so much to the community without all the flashing lights unlike all those "look at me" players, he is inspirational on and off the field. If he was still that grub from a few years back, he wouldnt be club captain let alone state captain. Gal for 2012 Australian captain!

Never read so much garbage in my life

I guess you forget what Thaiday did back a few years ago and got away with it with his fellow team mates

The Blues defended really well but if QLD are on there attacking game we're in trouble. I think Hayne has to come in for Morris and maybe Gidley (when is he back) off the bench. I feel sorry for Farah but I do luv having him line up for the Tigers during this period. Tigers need all the help we can get at the moment. I also think Bird is better at 5/8 for Origin but as stated above we need a goal kicker (Soward) and Pearce couldn't be dropped after that performance. The main thing is going off the game there shouldn't be to many changes to the team.

They have short memories up in QLD. Something to do with the sun i think. hahaha

Im a Newcastle diehard but i think Gallen makes a much better captain than Gids. Gal has settled down alot since he has had kids.

I thought this article sounded pretty close to the money from Phil Rothfield (Sydney Tele)
For the return match at ANZ Stadium, I'd be dropping winger Brett Morris and replacing him with Jarryd Hayne. The mistake to stand back and watch Jharal Yow Yeh score in the second half was a sackable offence.

I'd also be getting rid of Jason King from the front-row. The Manly prop tries his hardest but lacks the impact that a player like Tom Learoyd-Lahrs can inject into the side.

And I'd also be dropping Dean Young from the 17-man squad, not because he under-performed but for the simple reason Michael Ennis offers more as starting hooker and a big man like Jamal Idris would offer strike power from the bench.

Three changes might seem a bit harsh but the question has to be asked - did we get the team right in the first place. Let's just say it wasn't far off.

You can see the difference that having a full time coaching staff does for the team. Im pretty much with you on the changes Chris. I hope Gids is back for game 2. He is the sort of guy that can come off the bench and make an impact offensively.

the first change that has to be made is jason king gone he made 4 hit ups for 27m boy i could do better than that and replace him with maybe big keith galloway ,why did they pick king in the first place im puzzled...

jono

gordon

his best offense last series was passing the ball in his own in goal to the ground and costing us the game.

id only pick him at half if they went with mullen at 6. otherwise laters to him.
