Not to get into the whole preview ethics but I would suggest that Select will not be too concerned with the free marketing but probably had not expected the players to release cards early.

Select should be sending Girds a free box. Its about the only positive feedback they have had on their facebook page!

I was on the AFLcct forums recently and there was some interaction between Select and a few of the people - they were not hiding it. Would love them to reveal themselves on OCT.

I'd love another Knights high-end card, but to be honest ... most if not all of our players do suck haha.

Another sig card other than the Future Force (who I'm praying is Joel Edwards and not Con Mika) would be nice ... I just really hope that series one sig set is carried over into series two.

It's quite an anti-climax when there's only one sig for your team all year and it's just a young guy who might turn out useless or leave the club (Newcastle only have two previous ones there at the moment, Mullen and Uate ... I suppose it will increase to three when Tahu returns next year).

I dont see what the big deal is really. Who cares, its 1 card. Builds anticipation/hype. No such thing as bad publicity etc etc. Its got some people frothing at series 2 already. Well done for posting girds.

To be honest a lot of the companies love getting this publicity. Trust me if Select really didn't want this info out there, they would have let us know about it. Its the 4th link on Google if you search Sandor Earl Strike.

In fact one of the most successful threads in recent times on a sports message board was when a player in another sport showed off the cards he was signing. The thread was epic with 30 - 40+ pages and the company loved him for it.

Things like this help create buzz about a product. I dont see why Select would be upset at all about this.

If there is anyone that is from Select who is posting on this board, let me (a Mod know) and we would love to have a chat with you. The ball is in your court!

Sacha, remember that Select don't get the final say on who the players are for auto's, I believe they submit names to the NRL who then make the final decision.
