Just rang my bank to get some info on Interest paid/earned for the last 2 Financial Years after 2 minute conversation, i asked what value am i getting from you (StGeorge Bank) they took 0.8% of mortgage, all done within a few minutes and it was not why i rang, call your Banks tel them you want a discount, might save you a buck or two to go towards your card collecting

Rang my bank to get a debit card added to my account.
They changed my account type (No account keeping fees) and added a savings account.
And also got to speak to real people all the way, no recorded messages at all.

Until last year i worked at one of the big four. I can tell you if you ring about your home loan and tell them your thinking of moving it they will throw deals at you to stay.

Especially now that there are no fees for switching your home loan from one bank to another
