Re: **** Hitting Fan at Penrith

Don't feel bad you are still above us on the ladder and have half the talent in your team :(

Re: **** Hitting Fan at Penrith

by now you should no elliot has been shown the door for next year.

well the players arent happy and dont ask me why they must be as retarted as him,

Unreal that is, players move on, the coach is leaving at the end of the season, man up and play out the rest of this year with some guts in you. God as a panthers fan its shocking to watch the so called "football".

Petero has given mick leary a serve about how the players weren'r brought into the decision.
The players are paid excellent money to PLAY FOOTBALL, not get involved with who the coaching staff will be.

lewis is as happy as a pig in poo, he just wants to know who is coach is so the off contract players can decide if they are coming or going, the names that have been thrown around are stuart, brown, dean pay, fittler'
Good on you Lewis, thats the professional reaction to take, just take the news, and start to move forward. Really dont know who i personally would take for the club though.

finally this has been the worst decision ever. this week the team is so crap. basically i think elliot wants to lose and couldnt care less about the rest of the year.. i thought he'd try and show something good to get a job somewhere else apparently not.

Seriously, its a joke isnt it? fans pay heaps of money for the latest jerseys, merchandise, tickets for the games and memberships and we have a coach and team who does not want to try.

yileen gordon will see some time on the park, otherwise known as the worst buy of the season. sandor earl has been dropped, with tahu moving into the centres and tighe on the wing. i feel sorry for the players that actually try every week liek Gordon, Burns, Kingston

Sandor Earl, yeah lets drop one of our best young guns. Why not drop tighe and KEEP both earl and tahu on the park? If we had a team of Gordons, Burns and Kingstons our team would be #1 on the ladder - no joke. Those guys put 110% in each game. i also feel sorry for them as they are losing games after busting their guts out game after game.

as for the others petero, jennings and a few more i lost a lot of respect for today.

END RANT

Is this because they are the ones who are cracking the Sh*ts because elliott is gone for next year?? if so those guys need to realise they would have never lifted the trophy playing under elliott

Lastly, i dont just blame elliott for the crap performances of the team - even though parts of my above rant seem to indicate it. every man on that park is also to blame.

no bevin i found out that petero went to the head off penrith (leary) and said they didnt want gower and use orford's por return as their main basis of reasoning. which pissed me off my family has know gower for years... he did nothing but good for the club the only thing i didnt agree with in his career was the laurie daley origin incident.

they didnt stick by him wiht pearce's daughter throwing herself at him ... the opposite would eb manly's backing of stewart... now heson the rehabiliation road. gower needed that support. he is forced to play here in Aus because he cant get the treatment for his knee that he needs in europe.

I FOR ONE DO BLAME ELLIOT FOR THE PERFORMANCES.

have a look at penriths tries this year you can only blame either walsh or elliot for their performances. they cant score 20m out from the opposition try line, they have no vision if they dont score from end to end they dont score (using sandors 90m run as an example).

Re: **** Hitting Fan at Penrith

They dont want Craig Gower?? whats wrong with them? hes a dead set legend. ive always thought highly of him - the only time i didnt think much of him is when he left the panthers (but for that much money you cant blame the guy). just because orford couldnt cut it doesnt mean gower cant cut it either - gower is easily double the player orford ever was anyway. the panthers should have stuck by Gower - really made me disappointed when they signed petero and he became captain TBH - as i didnt think he could be the captain gower was. over time ive got over that though cause i sorta had to.

I blame walsh more than elliott - hes a dead set fool, put gower in his jersey and panthers might come back to life. But by the looks of petero's comment the signing of gower will cause the players to go off. The panthers have no spark this year, Jennings does sweet F**k all to put it bluntly - He has really annoyed me with his performances - along with alot of other players. Purtell, Iosefa and Laurie are all players who are not worth a cent - Laurie has played 3 games for us in 2 years. I blame elliott for these stupid signings, and the fact the team he picks week in week out isnt our best team. im glad he is now gone -in fact keeping him for the rest of the year is too long for my liking

I also blame him, but he shouldnt have 100% blame is all im saying, 80% blame to him and the rest to the slack players

Re: **** Hitting Fan at Penrith

ok i can explain most of those things going to go in depth here.

i want gower back to but its highly unlikely with the offer penrith gave him (it was disgusting) the only thing that is keeping them even close to signing him is the medical staff + his and amandas parents want the baby close.

as for jennings well he cant play his game without frank pritchard im afraid. maybe it will chance with nathan smith someone familiar back in the side in two weeks but plum and bell cant provide him with good quality ball he needs. maybe when lewis and smith are both in second row i dunno it will be interesting.

in regards to elliots **** signings ... he was a council worker before he became a coach ... so he signed many players needing help. eg laurie , masada.

masada wont be resigned either they played him on the bench for a few weeks to try and pass him on to another club as a first grader.

i feel for purtell he wasnt going all that bad well he was better than masada and laurie but he got glanglafever (dunno how to say it) in the off season and lost all his weight so they couldnt play him in the second row as they hoped. meaning plum could step in who i have been impressed with.

Petero is retiring this year dont worry he has already told tim grant he is.

this will be an interesting few weeks because they(petero) can either aim up to help elliot get a new job or they cant be b i t c h e s about it and play like 10 year olds. will be very interesting to say the least.

will send a pm over aswell.

Is the Laurie Daley incident the one where he exposed himself to a backpacker at Coogee Bay??

I am a Gower fan he is tough and talented but you are kidding about his "Celebrity Golf Day incidents aren't you ???

"......... at a charity golf event where he argued with several guests, groped the teenage daughter of former league player Wayne Pearce, chased Pearce's son with a bottle before vomiting on him, streaked nude around the resort, stole and crashed a golf cart, held a butter knife to the throat of a Sydney radio personality before throwing it at resort guests, and engaged in a brawl with resort security before being ejected from the official function and detained by police...."

I am a fan of a big night out but that was surely over the top, you don't get fined $100,000 for just being hit on by a teenage girl....

I don't think the players, given their current performances, should be offering their opinion but I would certainly base any contract for Gower on performances, he would be 34 next year and with a chronic knee injury I really don't think he is the long term solution.
