I made a trade with another member here, i asked him/her to send first as they were new. I received the card yesterday, in a white envelope, card in a penny sleeve, an attempt was made to wrap it in bubble wrap (it had come loose and was floating in the envelope) and had no top loader! Thank goodness the card was not damaged. What feedback do you think i should leave for the trader?

Why do member continually ignore the simple packing guidelines that the rest of us abide by.....

Who ever it is please take more care next time!!

The rules are there and simple to follow. To me thats not good enough and not good enough means its negative. You can leave a nuetral if you want but can my PM the members id please and a Admin email will be sent out to them stating that the second time there will be a neg and third strike no trades at all.

Glad your card got there undamaged by some miracle.

yeah, this happens too often now for my liking. everyone should be aware of the rules by now, the guidleines for packaging are clearly stated.

I think chads on the right track with the 3 strikes policy, first time is a mistake, you should get a neautral and a stern warning. 2nd time gets a neg and a final warning, 3rd time the offender gets booted from ozcards, or at least is not allowed to trade on here.

If its a newer member, each member should be educating the newer guys somewhat on what is expected in trades. If it's an old hand just doing it because they are lazy then, well ...

If I received a card like that I would probably leave a negative, white envelope should only be used if agreed on and even then a Top loader is a must !

well negative will be the right thing to do but we have to give this new members or new collectors some time to get used to our packaging policy. a neutral will be the way to go wid a message to the member to next time make sure every package he sent will be on a loader or tape between a cardboard and on a bubble mailer.

I've just gotten a delivery for 2 cards off EBay... the guy charged $4.90 (bit pricey, i know) for postage, so I was expecting that they would be in a penny sleeves and top loaders, in a bubble wrap envelope... Nope, none of the above, the cards were wedged between two pieces of cardboard taped together, in a white envelope with $1 worth of stamps on it... I didnt know that the cost of cardboard had sky rocketed recently, Im laughing I unpack hundreds of cardboard boxes a day, Im rich lol

Cause this is a EBay issue, should i negative the punk? cos he has left feedback for me and im shooting 100% and i dont want to lose that.

Any Ideas?

I would try to retrieve the postage amount first...but if no help there neg his ass!!

No, I have avoided her since reading about her MO on this thread, this was a guy name Kevin Tilbey, whose ebay user id is "go4it01", he hasn't gotten any other items for sale...at the moment

Yeh i say Neg him specially considering that he charged $4.90 for postage!!! thats a joke, hes making profit on the postage which is just wrong

Agree with Graham and Gemz, educate rather than neg straight off. We are not eBay!!

Dunno if I agree, what happens if it turns up f-cked?? Different story.

There is NO un-realistic reason why our members (or anyone else) should be sending cards off un-protected.

Who here doesnt get cards regularly off ebay, or other traders???

Nearly all of us have stuff coming in regularly, which can more than often be used again and again.

There is really as I said, NO UN-REALISTIC Explanations for un-safe packaging... It costs NO MORE than 2 BUCKS to post a card... [-X

As true as that may be, Id rather see the community grow and educated rather than negging new members and giving them a bad first taste of what our community is like - it is clearly not like that here (I hope!??!).

Fair enough if they're continually doing it, but it should be first strike and you're crucified.

i had a simular experience last week, ozballer and i just left them a neutral and Pm'd them the Postage guidelines along with how the card arrived.
