Now watch as the Celtics dispose of the Spurs and secure second spot mwahahahahahahaaaaa
haha glad the haters come out after this one... especially when their team has been worse the past couple weeks...
def. a bad loss but maybe they felt bad for the cavs? haha im just joking but at least the cavs and ohio have something to hold onto for the next couple years...
That said it probably doesn't matter that much, the #1 seed is really the only one that holds that much significance in terms of giving an advantage.
you mean the Bulls.... I'd love to say see you guys in the ECF, but we all know the Heat wont make it that far...

Without a doubt, take all of the key players out of the game and empty the bench. Miami with this crucial win has secured home court advantage versus all playoff teams except for the two top Conference seeds, Chicago and San Antonio. Even if they lose their last game, and the Lakers win their next two to tie the regular season record, Miami wins the tie breaker with their series win. And even if Dallas wins their final game and Miami loses to tie the regular season record, Miami has home court advantage because they clinched their division but Dallas would be behind San Antonio.
Lol the Heat don't really have enough players to play if they sit the Big 3 though. I reckon they'll sit Wade and maybe Bosh, and play LeBron.
How do you figure they don't have enough players to play? They've got a full roster. Guards: Bibby, Chalmers, Miller, House. Forward and centres: Howard, Jones, Dampier, Anthony, Ilgauskas and Magloire. I have no idea what Erik will do, maybe he wants to keep the rust off his players and let them play sparing minutes, even if it is 5-18 minutes in the game. If he really wants to rest his key players, like Doc Rivers, it can be done, it doesn't matter if the forwards and centres are playing out of position. They would all be averaging 24 minutes a game if they split the time between each position.
Yeah but we'll get smashed without the starters. I mean, we do have enough players, but we don't have any legitimate options after the Big 3. We'll see what they do... Should be interesting.
Bibby, Miller, Jones, Juwan, Z with Joel, Rio and Eddie House off the bench as the 7 man rotation most likely
I think Miami prefers an inexperienced and young Philly team versus a charged up and eager to prove critics wrong NY team. I expect Miami to win in 5 games to advance.
Could be a clean sweep. We swept the season series 3-0 and won by an average margin of 10+ points.
Ahh, I see what you mean. Like I said, it doesn't matter if the Heat lose the game or not, even if it is a blowout, this final game has no consequence to their seeding or home court advantage. To me, the best thing you can do is to rest the Big 3, and have the whole bench emptied out to make up for the minutes. It's irrelevant if they get blown out by 50 points or not. Have most of the oldies play sparingly up to about 15 mins, and have the younger guys out there doing the other 30-38 minutes. They've got until Saturday EST before the playoffs begin so they will be well rested and have fresh legs.
Well, Erik went and filled out all the bench like I hoped he would and played his oldies of Bibby and Ilgauskas to 15 mins max which is great, giving everyone a good rest. A win is a bonus but not important, and it's good to see the Heat go in healthy and confident.
