2008-09 Upper Deck Lineage SE....can someone explain this to me?

Ive broke several boxes of the 08-09 Lineage product. i like it. but im confused to a set of cards that i assume came from this product. ive pulled several SE Die cut autos, but i see some cards that are just SE, there not die cut or auto'd like this one. -

how is it that i have not managed to pull a single one of these cards? are they a retail box only product? or are they that rare that im actually more likely to pull the Dit Cut auto version? this has been puzzling me for some time now hopefully someone can clear this up for me!

The SE is a base set parallel covering cards 1-200 and fits in with the entire throwback appeal of lineage. The SE Die-cut auto's cover the entire set including rookies. Don't know anything about the normal SE's being rare than the Die-cuts or about their specific to a packaging type.

I busted a case of Hobby a while back and didn't get one of the regular SE's so i'd asume from that they are retail only

yeah i had already gathered that info, just curious as to why i havent pulled any.

yeah its starting to look that way.

Just found a video of a kid showing his lineage retail blaster box. its a terrible video. but you can clearly see 50 seconds in a Durant SE card he has pulled. so mystery solved i guess!

Yep i've got a retail box here and the SE cards are in that box. I can't give you exact figures but you get a few per retail box. I just quickly went through 12 packs I had previously opened and found about 6 SE cards so maybe 1:2 packs ?
