2011 Champions - Impressions

So you would rather pay 5 bucks for junk than 10 bucks for something worth owning? Cards are a pretty cheap hobby in comparison to what they used to be. In the 90's NBA cards were anywhere from 7 bucks up to 20 a packet. League cards were the same prices they are now.. yet the average wage has more than doubled. People are complaining we are getting crap. Well thats life you get what you pay for.

im jus happy that something is out there 2 keep me interested,
tho if it was $10 a pack alot less ppl would buy

Just bought a couple of packs today and they seem to be pretty decent for the price

The packs are VERY hard to open, but from the packs I opened I couldnt find any damaged cards

Might be interested in picking up a box of this, can you guys recommend the cheapest place to get an unsearched box?

In a day and age where finding out what your target market come to you online it is just crazy select never seem to ask collectors what they want. It would be so simple for them to run a survey on their website and find out about where they should be heading. If collectors move away from the hobby en masse, they lose the rights to make cards or even go broke they will have no one to blame but themselves.

The point I was trying to make about communication. A survey is a great Idea. Watch this space.....

I have open 4 boxes from a case, approximately 12 Champion foils damaged or marked in some way, enough to tick me off (But I am getting Doubles), several packs having less than stated cards & then some with a couple extra. One case managed a signature & 3 mascot cards. Eight boxes to go so hopefully I will go close to completing a set of champion foils (Still short after 4 boxes). Opening packets is the worst I can remember ever, I am slicing the tops open. Overall quality is OK/great & photos on most are very good. It would be nice to be asked what we as collectors would like to see in future releases. I think some player cards are looking very much like others used before.

Opened 8 boxes from the case, no complete set of Champions foils to date. Still need Foil check List number 1 plus a few others (Any one have one to swap!) Two autographs cards from this case, I was getting worried as I had seen none, hopefully one more in last two boxes. The cards are good but autographs marked slightly from being packaged. More card care would be nice.

Craig, check out the trade list on my website, I think there is a foil number one there + a heap of others.

Dave that would be great can you please put the Foil 1 aside for me & I will open my last few boxes & see what the go is. Not feeling too hopeful, this series so far has been very random. Just finishing my coffee after last nights excursion with the children to Suncorp :(. I have not sorted anything except the a set of commons & the inserts, so I will need to list all the Foil doubles for the site. Good to hear from you. Craig

Seems like all the sigs are in the bottom few boxes of the case, As there are a few who have opened cases and didnt get sigs till the last few boxes.
Great for dealers out there i guess......

Hi Rey, definite on that my two came from two bottom boxes in the case! I was starting to really panic, as you would after the investment in a case. I do not believe I am going to complete the foil set or the standard insert sets, too many double ups. I am really over the packet opening. Cheers Craig

My sigs were all in one row of three boxes of the case. The top , the middle and the bottom left boxes as I opened the case so I am not sure whether the sigs being in the bottom boxes is across the board. Finishing the silvers is a challenge. I did not get a full set from the case and hudreds of doubles.

Hi All, I am just wondering since i only buy about 10 packs every week from the same place, when you got your sigs from your cases the boxes that had sigs where the sigs in any particular place in the box. eg. Top, Bottom or Middle.

Reports from most people are usually the bottom to the left....

I haven't got a pack with that many cards but the other day I got a pack that had 8 cards with 2 inserts. A mascot gem and 2010 rookie. The rookie was at the front of the pack then the silver parallel and the mascot gem behind that. I was pretty surprised and happy that it had two inserts.
The 2010 rookie card was Isaac Gordon (R15)
and the Mascot Gem was Keiran Foran (MG6).
