Out of 59 Rookie cards only 2 Souths ones. How does that work? Why not just do 32 cards - 2 per club?

I reckon that Selct had originally wanted 64 rookie cards 4 per club but the players or their manager didn't agree or the clubs didn't have 4 rookies playing in 1st grade last year.

Alan Tongue passed 200 games last year.

Hi All,

The set looks encouraging !!! We will wait to see how they deliver on quality of product. Anyone have any opinions on the going rate for cards in the set. Here is what I think....

These are just averages and will obviously vary from team to team....

Silver Parallel Team Sets $10.00
NRL Rookie 2010 Inserts $10.00 each ( a little higher as so many in the set and will be hard to complete a set )
Rookie Sensations $20.00
Mascot Gems $15.00
NRL Star Signatures $80.00 to $120.00

Anyone else have an opinion...

You're probably in the right playing field there.. I would think the Rookie 2010 inserts might be cheaper per card.. They are the replacement for the gold crap sigs.. So their pricing would be about the same I would think?.. Maybe in the $7.50 range......

I like that larger Rookie set. Has some players who wouldn't normally get cards and who might never again. Would be a good set to see every year. Wouldn't mind the Heighington sig. Still should have moved to 2 full pages of base set by now but obviously an improvement from the last few years.

There has to be a logical (more like monetary reason) that they haven't pushed over to a 18 card team base set.. I'd like to see a LOGICAL card set.. One that JUST fits PERFECTLY..

EG..
Per Team...
18 Team Set.
9 Foil Insert.
6 Card Insert
3 Card Insert.

Then with Sets..
3 Case Cards.
6 Box Loaders.
9 Signatures. (Of course this would BREAK the logic on normal team sets having one extra card.. Soooo.. Drop one insert card from teams that have a sig)

It's not THAT hard to reach a LOGICAL goal.....
