Nrl 2011

I emailed Select for ages saying I wanted S Burgess, G Inglis and D Taylor in the set for sure in 2011. Never replied. Still, Souths in the promo, all is good in the world. LOL.

I bet that if there is signatures, there will not be a panthers one  as usual it will be what shane sharks said :Broncos, Bulldogs, Dragons and Rabbitohs for sure.

I agree.. Although.. I am still hoping for a cowboys one this year.. Maybe not as RARE at the captains cards that no one pulls and no one can afford after the fact.......

The AFL series has the Signatures inserted 1:4 boxes, 3 per case. With those numbers it's possible there is only 3 signatures in the series?

Maybe - 3-6 or so - I reckon there might be a sharks rookie (albert Kelly??) - Only a few teams had really good rookies last year Broncos had gillet, don't know who they would have for souths as it doesnt look to be burgess on the sneak peak- maybe dylan farrell. I would be hoping for sigs for Souths, Sharks, Titans and Warriors at the very least as they usually miss out.

I can't say the new preview excites me much with what it is showing

I think it is showing that the series is not called Champions this year???

Or maybe the "Se" is just the start of the insert name?

You might be right. Could also be 'Series' as the emails keep saying series 1. I guess we will find out on Monday or Tuesday when the promos and flyers start turning up.

If it was sensations why is it so big on the page ????? Really it doesn`t mater what the set is called as long as they change some of the cards and make it more interesting ....

The name of the series doesnt sell the packets / Boxes / cases it is what is in them that will sell the product ....Also remember they are only $2.95 each so don`t expect much in the higher end cards .....

This set will determain weather or not they release a second series ....If it doesn`t sell they won`t release series 2 ....That is guaranteed ........It doesn`t mater what we say it is all about the magical dollar so hopefully it will sell and another set is released .....

That doesnt really make sense to me as collectors of series 1 are a different group than the collectors of series 2 (for the most part). Alot of collectors i know wont buy any Champions but spend big when it comes to series 2.

Lol if that means two Champions series.

If thats the case atleast i would be laughing as i leave the hobby.

I understand what you are saying but they are really only looking at the $$$$$ side and if they don`t make any on the first set they won`t produce the second ...If they change what is in the set maybe it will sell better .....

I guess we will have to wait and see what happens ....

While the $ is the logical bottom line, NRL collectors have already proven that the series 2 (higher end product) will sell.

2009 Classic sold out very quickly and you would assume Select is together enough as a company to figure how much they needed to produce to make a target profit.

Point taken but why did they produce 2 series of AFL last year and always produce more boxes of AFL than NRL each year if the market is so good in the NRL ...

Last years NRL cards was one of the least sold cards for the NRL in years .....
