Who names them who comes up with these names????

i assume it is someone at the Bureau of Meteorology.. The names are made up alphabetical in Boy names then a girl name of the same letter i think (i.e M: Mark, Maria)

pretty sure it the world bureau of meteorology, they use names from a list from a-z, these names get recycled every 4 or so years, devastating storm cells get retired, hence you'll never see another katrina

My mate said they were named after ex wives of the guys at the BOM.....because the come and you get blown then they take your house and car and piss off....not sure if that's right but it sounds right

apparently the dude that started the naming system was Australian and actually named them after politicians. Naturally he wasnt very popular.
