Hiya people's,

Man, it's been a while I tell ya between drinks.
Hope your all doing well. Just taking a break between sales (been hectic today)

Anyway, short and sweet i need your guys and gals super creative (well, maybe not, we'll see :D ha ha ha) ideas.

I gotta friend's B'day coming up,and I am flat out of ideas of what to get her. Been getting tougher and tougher as time goes on, and I've hit a wall now. so, help!

Couple of things to help you on your way:
- She's turning 26 and Asian
- She's one of those "girly girls", if it's cute, it goes a long way :D ha ha ha
- Limit of $100 value

Best idea I could use (and do use) by Wednesday Night will get a little thank you

Thanks heaps,

Mike

Pandora, get a braclet or necklace and put a few nice beads on it. Then each year you can give her a few beads and it can be an ongoing present!

Yeah, I went that Pandora path sadly a few years ago and did this. Now i've been told off recently that she has too many and can't even fit on the bracelet anymore :D Ha ha ha
Any other idea?

This or some cards!

:D ha ha ha

She did get a sneak of some of my cards once. She thought it was pretty weird and gross that i would purchase a jersey patch of a player that smells :D Ha ha ha

HAHAHA... for $100? not a chance man.

Im usually a pretty good gift buyer. Let me think about it and I'll get back to you.

Have you considered a gift basket with a combination of a few of her favourite smelly items (like bath oils or candles, incense, shower gels, soaps, perfumes) that sorta thing? If she's a girly girl, would maybe be something she'd be appreciative of :)

Without judging the "friendship" - Concert Ticket if one of her favorite artists are coming out or maybe just a nice dinner at Tetsuya's ;)

Mike,

$5 bucks for a card, 0.55 cents for a stamp and 4 x $1 scratchies.

You are left with about $90 bucks which could buy you a box to bust.

How I stay married i dont know?

Cheers
Matt

Get her a box set of perfume, if you go into MYER the do say 3 little bottles of channel and they look cool gift wraped.

perfume is a double edged sword... chicks love it and all, but when someone buys deodorant/cologne for me I cant help but feel like they think I stink :p

Hahaha! Buy her a benchwarmers kiss card then. That's girly!

:D Ha ha ha ha
She may be girly, but there is no way in heck she is that girly. Actually, I can already see the face she would make if sheknew i collected stuff like that! And trust me, it's not the "Wow Mike, thats cool look".

Yeah, tell me about it. I think that Pandora phase has cost me like $800 now and counting.
I'm sort of glad that the thing is full now! :D Ha ha ha

Hmmmmmm, I have indeed many years ago AJ. I did it once before, but quickly stopped when she was getting me to smell what she smelt like. Plus, she ended up spraying me along with it (guys just aren't meant to smell that way).
Any particular type of perfume you would recommend?

:D ha ha ha She's just a nice friend Engin :D Ha ha ha
I would have put that in as one of my criteria if it was you know, as I think that would be an important one.
Thats interesting, she's a homebody sadly and that sort of stuff doesn't really interest her. She doesn't really dig western music (well, the kind I listen to anyway :D ha ha ha)
The nice dinner option is always nice in my books, but always don't want to go empty handed and just dinner type thing. I'll have to google that place you mentioned, as I don't often go out to really nice places type thing.

Interesting indeed. I think she is slowly passing the age of these sort of toys in her life? Do girls ever grow out of cute toys? Or is that a silly question?

Her you go, a little more than your $100 but what Girl does not love a massgae

One Hour Full Body And Mind Massage, NSW, VIC, QLD, ACT, SA & TAS | RedBalloon

You buy the voucher and then she can chose when she wants to be pampered.

Have got the wife a few, perhaps that's why she let me give up work, cause I am so sweet.

Interesting indeed, never thought about that before.
I know she has been rather stressed at work and run too lately. This could be a ticket to a refresher for her.

Ok, haven't shopped at Myer for like 8 years..... i always thought the stuff in there was way over priced and never could understand how they stay in business :D ha ha ha
But serioulsy, how many, ummmm, smell tyoes are there with Channel? And how do I know which is the best? This is what has always put me off on buying this sort of stuff. Any recommendations?

Or keep the $100 and give her the massage himself. (not meant to be rude in anyway. ;))

:D Ha ha ha ha I know what you mean, i can't see that happening i'm afraid :D Ha ha ha

Bugger man, i did that for her XMAS.
I got her this cute butterfly one, she loved it :)
Any other ideas?

One of those Digital picture frames and load up some photos of the two of you or other friends etc..
or
Voucher from Dymocks
or
Buy her shoes, women love shoes, they never have enough

:D Ha ha ha ha

There's always "the other" sort of toy. ;) I just figured that being her birth year, it would be a cool thing to display and keep in the box (the "other" toy goes in a "box" too I guess). Apparently they are getting quite popular, and we all know Barbie is timeless.

Get her a big plush toy of hello kitty or a pikachu.

Asian girls are into those two things. Thats the kind of **** I saw in their houses at uni.

Chances are she is into some anime crap.

Their 20-28yos are about as mature as Aussie 14-19yos girls

Advice on women - I think it;s pretty clear that guys on sports forums are obviously the best source of information! hah My advice is stay away from clothes and perfume, because if you get ti even slightly wrong you;ve just done your dough and she'll never use it / wear it. Plus is clothes are too big she'll think you're saying she's fat and if they;re too small she'll think you're saying she needs to lose weight!

Mid 20 asian girl and stressed at work - my best advice would be fairly high end makeup - they go crazy for that stuff! Makes hem feel good and gives them somehign different which their friends may not have and something they may not necessarily buy for themselves. Just find out which brand she likes and what product and you're the man! Look at Shu Uemera if you can get it - never fails. Or if that isn't available try Christian Dior or Guerlain products.... Not sure if you have access to her bathroom at any time but just pay attention or drop the occasional subtle question. i.e. no point buying lipstick if she doesn't wear it....... Safest bet is osme sort of cream or product for the skin - moisturiser, cleanser etc. Some even go in for that skin whitening stuff but you'd have ot be sure about it before splashing out on that!

Hope that helps mate - many days of tortured shopping centre browsing was required to give you that insight! :-P
