Any hobby/card shops or decent touristy things? My other half has some work training there next weekend and i'm thinking of tagging along so need something to entertain myself with.

Theres a Card Store on Rundle Mall, down the Rundle street end in a Arcade/mall type thing. Could always go see the Pandas at the zoo..... The Museum is decent. Could go down to Glenelg and check out down by the beach and so on.

It's called Sportscardword and the prices are absolutely insane! Nice guys though and quite knowledgable in their respective fields. It;s located in the heart fo the city in the prime shopping district so might as well check it out.

If the weather is nice definitley hop a tram to Glenelg beach. Not sure what's on at Adelaide Oval (possibly domestic cricket) and there;s always something on or pending at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre or Festival Theatre if you or your missus is into that sort of thing.

I remember when hot girls handed out farmers union iced coffee to work.

They were promoting it. It was a great day haha.

Glenelg is probably the place to go. if you feel like a 90 min drive or so take a trip down to Victor Harbor. The card shop like everyone else said is way too expensive but it scratches that itch for a couple of packs. Prices are in the range of $8.95 for a pack of R&S or threads. They also have all the footy stuff and are quite a nice bunch of guys to chat with. If you're into wine head to the Barossa or Adelaide Hills.
If it was me I'd be heading to Glenelg at night. Couple of decent pubs/clubs down there and the beach is one of the best in Australia. Actually go see the Pandas at the zoo. Worth the experience in my view. Only place you can see them in southern hemisphere I think. If you are into cycling I think the tour down under is on then. And i'm sure there is cricket of some sort at AO Oval. Most of all have a good time :D

PS Iced Coffee is da BOMB! We call it poo juice for reasons i'm sure you will find out :D. Interesting fact is that it is the only milk drink that out sells coke anywhere in the world!

I went to Adelaide 1 and a bit years ago. I went on a tour of Adelaide Oval and the Bradman Museum (quiet interesting), although the volunteer tour guide didn't know that England had won the Ashes a few days before hand! Seriously, a cricket tour guide person doesn't know who had won the Ashes  ... I also went to The Beach House which is good for children and also the zoo :) We went to the zoo about a month before the Pandas were in, so we didn't see them. At the start of the year I did my project on Adelaide so I'll just have a look through that now  ... Um, you've got the Tour Down Under soon which I'm pretty sure is Armstrong's last as he's retiring again. Barossa Valley has wine tours and stuff , oh and you can't forget Glenelg beach. And they also have some good golf courses which are in the list of the top 50 Australian golf courses with Royal Adelaide at number 5... so yeah  Enjoy your time if you go

Re: Sportscardworld - Matt is the one you want to speak to regarding NBA cards and yes the prices are STEEP! Pretty much refuse to buy packs from there, check it out and you will know what I mean!

Heafy83 sums it with the Pandas, Glenelg and Victor harbour - you can check out Harbourtown (factory outlet) for shopping - close to Glenelg and of course IKEA! :0

Just dropped in there, overpriced and had two kids behind the counter :S
