Welcome to the site Barry
Do you collect a particular sport? Would be great to see some of your collection!!
Hi - I collect across all sports worldwide and have done so for many years, although my main focus is on Irish-related items,. From a specific Aussie perspective, I have a lot of aussie related AFL (including compromise / internaitonal rules), NRL, Rugby Union, Australian gaelic football and hurling items, and some hockey stuff also.
I used to have a website you may have come across in the past (
www.starsignsireland.com) but the difficulty in keeping it up-to-date meant it got so old I hve to let it go!
I am working on development of a new site but I;d sya it won;t be ready until June or July next year at the earliest.
I came across this site as I am (very reluctantly) currently having to sell a clump of my collection to pay debts owed and clear up my financial situation, and I was looking to do some research on one of the shirts I'm selling (an old Broncos jersey) where I have got conflicting views from people on whether it is match worn or not ( bought it in good faith as match worn, but some people say it may be and others say it mightn't, and it is very hard in ireland to get access to photos, books and other reference material which I could use to verify southern hemisphere (in particular australasian) stuff). For some reason the post on the forum hasn't gone up yet (the moderator must not have got around to it yet) but the jersey in question is here:
There may be a few items I'm selling that might be of interest to a few people on here, but now that I have found this site I think I will be on it more often going forward as it's well designed and the posters all seem to be sensibel and passionate collectors

oops, forgot the link to the broncos jersey!
Brisbane Broncos Australia #6 match worn shirt jersey on eBay (end time 19-Oct-10 21:09:57 BST) No-one who has contacted me has seen a broncos shirt with purple "power"" sponsorship but one perosn reckons it may have been done to appease queensland fans, but then changed again on the sponsors insistence? Others say the number was not used on any shirts they've seen. I'm totally at a loss as I don't have proper Broncos pcitures / books / cards to hand. The shirt is made by peerless but it says "australia" ratehr than peerless on it - apparently this is quite common also on peerless match shirts but again I don't know much about these as they're not very common over here!!!
Rather than addressing the broncos jersey on this thread, if the mods put my post up in the meantime, could you put your replies there, as it is probably inappropriate to discuss specific items in the "new members" section?
