Hey there guys!
Yesterday I finally finished a Cricket Autograph set thatnks to Hodgie (Thanks mate)

So this leads to me to the actual question at hand......I actually had the set but the main card of the set was severely damaged so I deemed the set incomplete until I got a decent replacement.

The card that I have damaged is this one:
2004/05 ESP - Seignature Series - Shane Warne
cards-04-05-esp-signature series-warne.JPG
(This is the actual picture of the card I took today)

My wife picked it up at a swap meet type market about a month ago but neglected to look at the card closely (She was trying to surprise me as I have needed the card to finish the set for ages). Fortunately she got the card for an absolute bargain so we haven't lost out (I suspect the damage to the card is why she got it so cheap to start with).

Although the card looks fine in the picture it has some major flaws; they are:

1. About six scratches / indentations that have not actually broken the surface of the card but have left 1 to 2cm indendations (Sort of like a kid has drawn on it with a pen with no ink) and
2. Two nicks / indentations where the card surface has been broken (Right on where the signature is).

Obviously these flaws can't be seen in the picture so what do I do? I have included a poll (more for people who like to vote) but I am more interested in reading your replies :)

Regards

since u dont really need it probly sell it. or if there was a member who needs it and would be happy with it give it away/sell at a bargain price.

I was going to sell it but my fear is that the person who buys it will complain about the condition no matter how I describe it......

Emphasize the damage of the card in a 100% accurate description, Start the listing at 99c and surely the buyer will have nothing to complain about

could put something similar to this in description like: condition of card is reflected in starting price.

but some ppl will complain about anything, no matter how clearly u say it. as they just dont read it

Yup, once I get the replacement I think that is probably how I will go.

That is exactly the way I feel.....which is why I asked you guys what you thought.
The card is still not too bad but even if I include a detailed description I fear the buyer may neg me because it's not as goo as he/ she had hoped........mmm what to do!

Sell it someone will pick it up for their warney pc regardless. i did the same with a gower capt sig i had before

What sort of price does a good condition one go for and what sort of price would you be looking at with this one?

give it to me:)

nah, i would sell it but make sure you clearly state that it is damaged otherwise people go get very grumpy on eBay

The dents sound like someone maybe wrote on a sticker while the card was in the sleeve. just sell it cheap and use registered post
