The Official MIAMI HEAT Thread!

Re: 2010-2011 Official Miami Heat Thread

Riley is all about winning now. He has shown in the past that filling out a roster with old vet on short contracts will NOT cripple your franchise (take some notice KNICKS!!!!) and Will allow you to win now. Riley is an absolute genius and mastermind and any doubters out there will be sorry.

Hey guy's, does anyone know when the authentic LBJ miami jerseys will be released for us to purchase?

Re: 2010-2011 Official Miami Heat Thread

yeh true but stack tends to be a bit more abrasive as a character, potentially railroading from time to time, what the team is trying to achieve... thats why i say if i was the heat id rather finley - hes not as high maintenance... having said that, to stacks credit, he was a positive addition and influence in milwaukee last year

lets face it though, neither guy is gonna play massive minutes nor have a huge role overall

That's true. Wade, LeBron and Mike Miller will get at least 35 minutes in my opinion. So I guess maybe we won't need Stack's extra scoring, and Finley's shooting will be good enough... Hmmmm..

latest heat news

Point guard Carlos Arroyo, who last season added a Latin beat to the Miami Heat, Wednesday told the Sun Sentinel that he is flying back from his native Puerto Rico to re-sign with the team, with the formalities expected to be addressed Thursday. A fan favorite whose appearances at AmericanAirlines Arena are accompanied by the playing of El Gran Combo's "Fiesta de Pilito." Arroyo started the Heat's final 21 regular-season games and all five playoff games against the Boston Celtics. South Florida Sun-Sentinel

The Heat is expected to add one more point guard, with NBA veterans Jason Williams and Earl Watson, and league neophytes Kenny Hasbrouck, Patrick Beverley and John Lucas III among the options. Teams are limited to 12-player active lists on game nights and 15-player rosters during the regular season. Teams may carry as many as 20 players during the offseason. South Florida Sun-Sentinel

Good job Norm. So by my count that gives us, what 12 players on signed?

Wade, LeBron, Bosh, Chalmers, Miller, Haslem, Ilgauskas, Howard, J. Jones, Arroyo, Anthony, Pittman

Who will the last be. Hmmm!

I'd say a few rookies if no other vets play for the minimum. I think that's enough to win it all!!
