The Official MIAMI HEAT Thread!

Re: 2010-2011 Official Miami Heat Thread

although I like the Miami Heat I am sick of all these past cavs fans changing teams, what i really like about what went down is it reminds me of when garnett and allen joined paul pierce with the boston celtics. But this is only better :)
What I think will happen is that Miami Heat will get to the Eastern Conference finals and lose to which ever team they are versing, Lebron has had no luck in his career lol.

Re: 2010-2011 Official Miami Heat Thread

jimbo i agree with the bron-playing-point-forward-like-pip analogy... whoever they have playing point wont matter. they just need someone who can hit open shots reasonably consistently and can stick to the structure of the miami offense cause lets be honest bron and dwade are above average ball handlers and will have it in their hands for big chunks at a time, think ron harper, steve kerr...

Too true. That's why Mike Millers been brought in. He's going to look like an offensive dynamo playing next to Wade and Bron.

Now if only there was a good center to be had.. shame! That would be the complete team!

I've been a Heat fan since Zo went to them in 1996 and you are more than welcome here.

Now let's make some NOISE :D in this thread and make it bigger than the LA and Boston threads!

Re: 2010-2011 Official Miami Heat Thread

Latest news is James Jones will re-up for $1 million this season.

To all the doubters that said "Sick 3 players, who else is going to be on the roster" you can all kindly shut up now.

PG: Mario Chalmers
SG: Dwyane Wade/Mike Miller
SF: LeBron James/Mike Miller/James Jones
PF: Chris Bosh/Udonis Haslem/Juwan Howard
C: Joel Anthony/Zyrundas Ilgauskas/Dexter Pitman

How's that looking for you? Get us either Carlos Arroyo or Jason Williams back at the point and that's a pretty decent looking team.

Still lacking a better center imo. Isn't Quin backing up at point?

Re: 2010-2011 Official Miami Heat Thread

I have never in my life hoped a team didnt win as much as I do with Miami next year. I would love it if Lebron went through the next two, three, four seasons and still couldnt win anything. That would be awesome. The way this has all played out has just confrimed that he is a boner head with no real winners instinct or guts, and he no longer deserves to be in the same breath as Jordan, Kobe, Magic, Bird.

I have NEVER liked Kobe, but he is such a killer, he would be looking at these three and thinking, "Youre gonna need more than that you FAGGOTS!!!!"

Re: 2010-2011 Official Miami Heat Thread

Got what from where? All I asked is if quin was the back up pg? Obviously I didn't know where he was if I asked the question!

Well since you said "Isn't Quin backing up at point?" it sounded like that's what you thought had I not said otherwise.

In which case I'm just wondering where you read that. Or did you not know he was traded last season?

Re: 2010-2011 Official Miami Heat Thread

Like I said, I didn't know lol Not sure how to make it any clearer!

Re: 2010-2011 Official Miami Heat Thread

Looks like the Heat is looking to add more depth!

Two former All-Stars that the Heat are far more likely to consider: Jerry Stackhouse and Michael Finley. ESPN.com

Re: 2010-2011 Official Miami Heat Thread

if they can pick up either of those guys, particularly finley, it would give them even more added veteran savvy experience and leadership in the locker room which cant be a bad thing...

No doubt, either one would be a great addition to the side!

Agreed. I like Finley too, but personally think Stack has a bit more left in the tank.

yeh true but stack tends to be a bit more abrasive as a character, potentially railroading from time to time, what the team is trying to achieve... thats why i say if i was the heat id rather finley - hes not as high maintenance... having said that, to stacks credit, he was a positive addition and influence in milwaukee last year

lets face it though, neither guy is gonna play massive minutes nor have a huge role overall

That is very true! And good point about Stacks, he'll be a positive influence if anything. He can score qjuickly off the bench, always good come playoffs time in a tight game!
