Anyway one minute into the third he decided to quit, which of course I wasn't happy about but I understand why he was frustrated and happily I'll take the win. The score was 74-33 at that point (and I wasn't exploting either btw, I had already hit 6 three's at that point).

yeh sorry bout quitting on ya jimbo, i dont do it often and when i do its cause im pissed off badlly...
nothing was gooing for me in that game, passes wouldnt drop, back violations u name it....but what really got to me was budinger, his shots where going in way to easy every bloody time and i just reached boiling point... u did play well and of course u wernt cheesing niy it makes u feel like ure getting cheesed on when shots are falling dat easy but not 4 u.. but in IMO its to easy to shoot in this league and its just suit some people more than others depending on players and users etc..

No I feel you man. If I was down that much I may quit as well - it would be very frustrating. At least you didn't "drop out" and pretend your side had accidentally disconnected like some members do.

Besides it happened in S2 as well when I versed J_Keefy I think, and I can understand why you wouldn't want to keep playing when you're down 40.

In regards to Budinger - you were leaving him wide open though. For the season he hadn't shot that well, only 10/30 on three pointers, but you gave him 3 wide open looks so he knocked down all of them. He does have an easy jump-shot on him though, with a nice release.

I saw your over-time game against the Pacers, how many overtimes did that go to?!

Hmmmm Pacers toeing the PIP line there. 82 of 120, -FTs, 82 of 101. But minus FBP, 66 of 101, or do the FBP come off both totals?

Not quite sure where you get the idea that I'm a slow team Jimbo! I got a defensive team, but I rack up the points quick when I'm flowing. In fact you and I had the EXACT same amount of fastbreak points in our round 1 series'! While my teams ratings say otherwise, I have quite a good offensive team me thinks :)

Maybe FBP should be discounted from both? Took me a while to get my head around whether it should be or not - but ultimately we are trying to see how many PIP are scored in the half-court (to measure how much people exploit).

So I guess the total point total should not have FBP or FT! In which case he would be 82/85 in the paint? WHAT! :lol:

Now I'm getting confused.

And I don't mean you're a slow team. I meant we have very different game-plans and you get your shot in the half-court set a lot more patiently than I ;)

yeh that game went into triple overtime, the best game ive played in ages, i should have finished off that game plenty of times but he just kept hanging in there, im abit angry at myself about that 1...

Zel, not sure how you can be worried about Jimbo's 6 treys in a half and Bud hitting 3! The other day nzgamer left my game with him about the same time as you did Jibo's, and I was 12/22 in the 1st half :lol:

Nah if you take away FBP and FTs, then he's 66 of 85. Cause FBP get taken away from the PIP. But question is, do the 16 FBP get taken away from both PIP and Total P or just PIP?

I might add, that taking FBP from the PIP could be quite advantageous for a player like me! Cause I typically get my FBP from outside the key, I could exploit alot more inside and not have it seen as much cause my FBP would mask it :lol: If I were that way inclined, or even capable of playing in an inside cheesing way effectively...which I appear not to be :lol:

The game between Giddles and Swizz that just ended by Giddles disconnecting shall be left as is by request of Swizz and agreed to by Giddles. He was getting flogged and left cause of it. Told Swizz he had to go so agreed to give the win to Swizz.

I'm not sure how Free Throws can be taken off the total fairly considering only a percentage of free throws comes from fouling in the paint. Towards the end of a game if you are behind on the scoreboard teams foul to stop the clock and send you to the line. You can get fouled on jumpshots. I don't think free throws should have anything to do with the formula for working out paint abuse. Also, all this subtracting x from a and then y from a+b might be a bit too much. Take the FBP off PIP and if that total is > 70% of the total score then they are over the limit.

Game 1 complete for me. Played Nick (Verse). It was as it always is with us 2, a 3pt sluggfest! :lol: He won the triple battle, 15/29 from downtown, Miller with 13 of them! But I wont the game. Martin was 8/13 from downtown on his way to 45 points and surprisingly my 2nd high scorer was Ben Wallace with 18 and 6. Couldn't find Battier's shot today unlike the other day, nor Nick Young's...and Brooks too went missing (1/7). Happy to get the win 1st time using this team. Gotta re-find Nick Young. He's a killer when open like he was today usually. Nice game Nick :)

Fair call Michael let's leave it at that.

Just played Ben and took a 57-47 lead going into half-time. He rallied back with some strong defense in the third and I got within 3 in the 4th but couldn't quite get ahead.

Well played. I have to say my biggest gripe is with your off-ball defense, almost exclusively used in the 2nd half. But a well-deserved win, major kudos for coming back after I took a double digit lead in the second quarter.

With me picking up the win the last game we played I guess it's only fitting you take this one, only days before we meet in the Western Conference Semi-Finals in S2. :lol:

I must admit I probably do use the offball a little more against you since it's typically alot of moves to get to the hoop, but I also tend to do it so I can bring the extra player over to help cover, in this case Josh Smith. Doubling him up alot since you went at least into his hands on most of your plays particularly in the last. Was a great game! I think I got out 41-31 in the 2nd, but you pegged me back and yeah, took a large lead! Things seemed to clog up a little and I found some space though in the 3rd which got me back in it and then we mostly traded buckets in the last few minutes.

Look forward to our series! Going to be tight, like all our games :) 2 completely different styles, each equally hard to stop at times as was evident with our swings in that game today.

Definitely agree. It's all about adjusting to different game styles.

I was a bit lazy today and kept trying to force it even when you were playing off-ball defense, but I should have taken more jumpers with Hibbert who is decent from mid-range.

Don't worry though, I have Sam Dalembert's jumper well down pat (as Verse witnessed in Round 1), so I'll be ready if you decide to play that style again ;)

Looking forward to it. Although who knows when we'll get to play since some East round match-ups haven't even started yet :lol:

Well looks like i could be out awhile boys, reformatted and that but only worked for like a half of a game :( Gonna make a few calls Monday to see if I can get it fixed!

Well I'm going through a bit of a rough patch. Joe Johnson is struggling to shoot the ball and I just got smashed by Versey.

I was never really in it. He went on a run in the 2nd quarter and I pretty much gave up. Was considering quitting in the 3rd cause my head wasn't in it, but decided I'd hate it if he did that to me so stuck it out.

Finally got your revenge after I eliminated you in S2 playoffs Nicko ;) Maybe we'll see each other in S3 playoffs :lol:

On the plus side I'm getting most of the hard opponents done early (e.g. Versey, Nenjabin, Giddles, Vivo) and with only a few more challenges to go the second-half of my schedule should have some pretty good win streaks in it. They weren't all blow-outs either, had it pretty close against Nenj and Vivo for the win ;)

Joe Johnson is also on the trading block guys. I am building this team around Josh Smith's all-around abilities and need a scorer similar to Johnson but with a bit better athleticism.

Got my 7th win of the season against Koori_Thug who dropped out after I was up by 16 with barely any time left in the 3rd.

Disappointing to see so many D's next to peoples names when the games aren't going the way they want.

I got spanked by 20 against Verse yesterday but didn't quit. No offense guys but it is very poor sportsmanship to quit just because you are losing.

I'll leave the game up there so mods can see it, but I'm not happy with the stats so I'll re-set it and give myself the sim win later, after people have seen that I'm not making this up and the game was played and quit by KT.

I agree i'm finding it the most frustrating aspect of the online league... feel free to mass pm everyone a headcheck on having some good sportsmanship

Another loss, this time to mkd_kid, (bucks) but was closer than I thought it would be considering he is unbeaten. He ended up winning with a Monta Ellis floater at the buzzer. I could of finished it, but when I went to run the SG quick hitter, I didn't notice that Q was inbounding the ball #-o :crazy:

Very good game though, never more than 10 pts diff throughout. He knows his stuff

Pacers/Cavs the other day reads 0 v 0. Was this simmed or needs to be reset?
