Haha yeah, i was struggling with a blown up screen and dieing PS3 and I let him know this and he seemed to think he was beating me fair and square...half glad it dropped out because Im not going to play anyone till I get it fixed and then I'll beat his ass down

He loves beating the point guard 1 on 1 at the top of the key, he drives and if no D steps out he hits the little runner with Curry, if the D sags in he kicks it straight out for an open 3 pointer. I found this was the play he used about 60% of the time.

Yep, right on the money!
Well I've fixed the issue with the picture being blown up waaaay out of proportion, now just the issue of opening up the PS3 and taking a look at the lens to make the games work properly now! Seems like its never ending problems the last week or so

yeh i just played him and he done the same thing as well,1st half i wrapped him up abit but he got going in the 2cnd with curry muncher..
I found the best way to play him is a high tempo and fastbreak points , but cause i dont enjoy playing like dat i couldnt do it for long periods through the game and he ended up beating me by 15 points, funny thing is that ive played giddles in other leagues and hes not bad player when he plays normal he dosnt need to resort to them tactics cause hel win games anyway i reckon, but wtf...
On the bright side of things i played swish (celtics) and handed him his 1st loss of the season after he beat me twice previously, i really had to play good tho and thanks to Roy being on fire i got home by 9..
good to get all my games with swish outta the way, i find him very challenging to play, and after he beat me twice to pull a win back im stoked..

Servers down. Bloody annoying. I was out all day and wanted to come home for a game. Got a game going against Zel and was playing well, got about a 7 point lead with the 1st quarter ending then the bloody thing dropped out.
Have to play some tomorrow!

In the fixing (some) of my PS3 problems, I thought I may aswell use my spare HDMI cable that's been lying around for too long and boy, I wish I'd used it early...I thought the graphics were good before
it's almost like im watching a real game of Basketball now. Im an idiot for not being bothered enough to do it earlier, so if anyone's done what I did whip out that HDMI cable now

I've got one! But only an SD Television. Where do you plug it, and what does it do!

Ohh im pretty sure you need a HD TV...you plug the HDMI cable into the HDMI slot, heaps better graphics, so much crisper and clearer...plus I can see more of the court than before for some reason! Look out for more fast break point efforts

The day I bought my PS3 I made sure I got a package that included a HDMI cable and have never used the PS3 without it! Crazy good graphics 
Not sure why you can see more of the court though...unless you changed your picture mode on the TV. So 200Hrz Sony Bravia 46" with HDMI is all I've played on

I've had issues with my HDMI i can't get it to play in sync, the sound and reactions are 1-2 seconds out for some reason. I've been using the HDMI from the get go but used it on regular setting not 1080 and its been fine but as soon as i changed the quality settings the sync went out. I was spewing too because the graphics are heaps good with it.
Im thinking the PS3 and LG HD tv i have just don't get along. Maybe being only 50hz is the reason

Possibly why. Though I think the refresh rates mean that the play moves as usual, but with a "shadow" instead of smooth and clean. not anything to do with the sound. Or at least that's how I understood it when I was buying? Funny if I based my decision on seriously wrong info I'd lean more towards Sony to LG, though I wouldn't have thought that would be an issue surely! I've never played with any HD settings so believe the game is on the 1080 as it flashes that up as the TV prepares itself for the game.

My Sony flashes up 1080 during the PS3 menu but when i start NBA 2K10 it flashes up with 760. Not sure why, i do use HDMI and i can't find anything in the settings for it to justify switching resolution when a game starts?

The graphics were the bomb though so hopefully i can sort it out.
Is anyone going to be on this arvo (4.30ish)? I'd like to try and fix it as i can't handle the dodgy basic graphics now i've seen what it should be like. I'd need someone to try games against to see if its sorted :v:
Yeah when i reset my PS3 i had the "there is a HDMI cable do you want to use it" message but when it went to the next screen the "can you see this" message i had a strange flickering so said no and it defaults to the 760 setting and i had just been using that. I then read a few things on the net and they say its something to do with the HDMI ports on some tele's so i changed it from port 1 to port 3 and reset again and this time no flickering on the 1080 set up but when in game all my actions were delayed a good second or 2???

Could be on. Depends if we have a draft for that other league tonight or not cause if I'm going to be eating up ~2 hours PS time there, I'll need all the good will I can get before hand = not being on the PS3 until then

haha understandable, if no ones on hopefully i can buy some minutes off your missus after the draft (If its on tonight).
Just remembered the Rabbitohs are playing again tonight at 7.30 though so might miss the draft again tonight

Well right now we're still waiting for the 3oth user to join, so the draft isn't even generated. So as of right now, there is no draft. At least tonight I can make the draft unlike the other day where I was going to be on the court myself! Now I'll probably end up with another 20s pick instead of the 8th and 11th I had before...again changing my draft plans!
