Something new for NRL?

Typical Select ... can't even get the year right.

They also have Newcastle's worst player this year in Jarrod Mullen. Why not Uate?!?!

What's the bet we'll have seen all the photos that they use before on previous cards, as well.

If these havent even been sent out yet, How can a certain ebayer have set number 80. Un freakinbelievable.

And after seeing the dogs cards they are very ordinary. Glad i didnt bother getting the whole set...

But why don't they make it a 2010 set though? After all ... it is 2010?!?!

You've got to be kidding right, when this set hit the drawing board it probably wasn't in 2010 hence the specification that the series features players from 2009, then Select obviously make things under licence from the NRL so they would have to have a say in who is featured on the cards and while we are at it I bet Scanlens put their two cents worth in and then their is printing, packaging and delivery to select in time for a 01 July release.

There is no way that between Select, NRL and lets say Scanlens they would have known that Sailor was going to retire and Folau was going to jump ship to AFL for instance.

I have been lead to believe that the 2003 set was actually printed in 2003, but not released until 2007, not sure how true this is.

I don't think this is the same, because I find it hard to believe Select would release an NRL set of this nature without an identical one for the AFL. This leads me to believe that this Scanlens set is just a money spinner in the absense of the proper NRL series 2 this year.

If it has actually taken since 2009 to plan, prepare and print this release, then Select seriously need to look at their efficiency, because there's no way it should take anything like that! It's laughable to think that a set could take so long to hit the market.

2 minutes to design on paint, then..............? Im led to believe Select own Scanlens so i wouldnt try blaming Scanlens for this rubbish.

No takers on eBay for these yet haha. If Select spent >9 months in planning and production for this set then they probably aren't making any money off it

I'm in the MSPaint camp.

You were led to believe the wrong thing ...Select and Scanlens are seperate identities .....

Regardless any competant card manufacturer would have said to Scanlens - we are looking to produce a set of cards ... it will come out next year ... we will therefore make it a 2010 set!!!

When you are in Sydney you can go to Select and pick them up .....It is that easy ...

It specifically said on the promo "available on line only" that didn't imply to me that you could purchase them through an outlet.

How hard would it be to advise that pick up is available..... At almost $14 for delivery  .......I suppose I understand why there was no mention of the pick up. :p

By seperate identities does that mean their are no common interests / owners / board members / stategic business alliances / commercial transaction / licensing agreements etc, there just simply has to be a relationship there somewhere.
