Hey guys, one of the bigger sports fan sites in America offered me a job as a VIP Columnist and NBA Blogger for the Miami Heat.

I'm going to get paid to do this, not a large sum of money but more just like pocket money depending on how many hits I get per article.

Check out my site here:

I am still waiting on the company (FanVsFan) to finish making my banner, which hopefully will help my blog look a bit more fun once it's done!

Cheers!

well done buddy. Just read the Beasley article and totally agree. Give him time to mature and reap the rewards! How did you stumble into this job/pocket change position?

Good to see you've started Jimbo i expect an MJ auto in return if im going to be giving you 100's of hits on the site ;)

I write on the public fan site Bleacher Report which is partners with CBS Sports and a few other big media company's in the US. There you find some of the best amateur writers and reporters for all major sports in America and also global sports (e.g. Tennis, Football etc).

You'll find my profile here: http://bleacherreport.com/users/129619-james-wong

Basically I got my name out through Bleacher Report, I've written about 30 articles there with over 23,000 combined reads, a few of mine have featured on the front page of the website and I've had a few of my articles top 2,000 reads each.

From there I was contacted last year to work for Fan Huddle (fanhuddle.com) who were meant to be up and coming to overtake Bleacher Report. Turned out they were all talk, and their methods of paying their writers were slow and unreliable so most of the writers jumped ship (although the site still operates you can see it's not that great).

A writer who also was previously recruited for Fan Huddle hooked me up with this gig at FanVsFan.

Some more great news guys. I've been given the position of "Featured Columnist" on Bleacher Report for the Miami Heat!

If anyone knows Bleacher Report well there are over 20,000 amateur writers on there publishing great material. To be a featured columnist the staff and editors at B/R choose the best 2-3 writers and assign them to a team of their choosing.

So this is great to be acknowledged as one of the top 60-100 NBA writers globally on Bleacher Report.

Stay tuned for it if you're a Miami fan as one of my requirements of the position is to write weekly on the Heat, and with my exams finishing in 2 days and the draft & free agency around the corner that's exactly what I'll be doing!
