..when you make a trade with someone, who says "my cards are mint and smooth.. if there's any of my cards has crease/scratches, i would've told u frm the beginning." and you receive... this :

I traded away some cards I don't miss, and it would be expensive to send back to each other. He's asked me what he wants me to do, I asked if he could give me some $$ in place of the MJ which I'll send back to him, but I can't exactly say "give me $____" as I don't think that's fair or really know what to ask for. I've asked him how much he would have given me in $ in place of the MJ, but haven't heard back from him. Seems like a nice guy, just haven't experienced this kind of thing before...

Any advice is appreciated, thanks guys.

I hate to see what a slighlty damaged card of his looks like . I am very picky and as principle i would ask for cash or a reversal of the trade via registered post to make sure it gets there. Unlucky buddy.

that is such a great card aside from the shape its in... i reckon if its an ozcards member u did that trade with, then they should clearly cancel the trade and give back whatever you traded it for... as for the bonuses, while they certainly are appreciated whenever they are received, just because they are deemed throw in or bonuses in any deal doesnt mean they shouldnt be in poor condition

Did you see a pic of the card before making the deal? Always ask for one, someone's opinion of "Mint" may not be the same as yours, so technically you can't have a go at them for that.

As for the $15, I would take it, that card looks like trash.

Yeah I did, but it was in a group picture and you couldn't zoom in much. My one was scanned at 600dpi to show the detail...
Regardless of the condition, do you think $15 is a fair tradeoff for not getting that card?
