lol my guys would not hit there shots except in 3rd and 1st quarter, i started to creep back in the 3rd. btw jim it must b just that game coz i played ranga after and we had no problems and mousy do not leave the league coz i really hope to c u or ranga in the finals.

everybody chuck hayes was injured for 18 games but 4 some reason he played again ... strange, and also how do i drop a player off my team???

Just played the Suns. All he does is clear out for Stephen Jackson and take it to the hole. Sometimes he uses someone else and kicks it back out to Jax for the 3, bu that's about it. And when Jackson if off the court, Shannon Brown starts isolating and taking it to the hole. Managed to hit enough shots and free throws though to take the win :) I thought I was abusing the paint a bit more than I usually would but it appears not looking at the stats :lol:

haha well done, btw i got some mvp picks for this season i'll post em up in a sek. i mean there my nominations. u should get ppl to PM u, jimboitmac or digeze and they will round up the totals and tell everybody the top 10 nominations and we should have an awards day. like 9 days b4 that day u will take off 1 person who did not get it each day to get the adrenaline rushing lol. just a favor that all. it would b enjoyable

Thanks man but we don't need them yet. Some teams haven't played more than 5 games. We won't be looking at season 2 awards until much later in the season.

For now SEASON ONE (1) awards are being generated.

Short-lists for voting are being created and then we will reveal the candidates, after which ALL SEASON 1 PLAYERS please vote with your selections, I'll be chasing up those who haven't voted through PM.

hey jimbo, its not really in the paint but when u look at your shot chart u just take most of your shots in the same areas, thats the problem

That's just the way I play. I'll try and shoot a bit more jumpers but I'm not changing drastically as I'm not even the worst in the league.

I see what you're saying though, I think everyone can apply this to them a bit.

Geeze... And I thought we had a half decent group of players! Mousey, you go on about what some people will do to "get a win" but you go off like frog in a sock when you lose! Same sort of thing IMO! Seriously, go find a random league that does it better! Anything less then 75% in the paint is pretty good IMO! Welcome to the world of internet gaming! There's always going to be things that people don't agree on, do differently, do better, do worse etc etc. People have to find a happy medium and learn to live with it! Nothing is going to be perfect, could you honestly imagine trying to introduce all these different rules and actually trying to implement them? The mods, and people playing in the league for that matter, do have other things to do in their lives!

In all honestly, I think we have got a decent bunch of people together with a couple of exceptions of course and everyone just needs to make adjustments and be understanding of everyone!

Looking over Jimbo's shot chart I wouldn't really call it cheesing, not like he drove to the basket or posted up in the paint everytime!

I understand the competitiveness in people, trust me im probably the worse one for it and I've blown my top a few times but I get over it pretty quickly and move on, I mean at the end of the day it is just a game!

Im starting to get fed up with all the *****ing and whinging from a lot of people more then the cheesing!

Bring up things for the mods that are really relevant and actually need reviewing (Like you game vs Swisscheese mousey, thats dog as!) and lets all try to find a middle ground and we have to give each other a break now and then!!

I got to just get over the fact people are going to do certain stuff that "cheeses" me of.. i suppose they are going to do it for everyone...except SwizzCheese incident!!!!

Hope u can ignore my resignation...I do want to play and from now on but im going to do annoying stuff back too, cause seriously its the only way to win in this game, if one does it u have to do it back.. I just find it a tad boring to play but...personal opinion...

So you wont here me whinge anymore, i now have come to the fact that some will do it and if so i will to :D But im a rookie at it ;)

Yeah mate i played him a while ago and thats all he did to me, i accidently pressed quit and he agreed to it haha so it never came up so i still have to play him again, but yeah im ready for him now.

Yeah i reckon dont get angry just get even rule has to apply, i thought what you think about giving back what they give you, but i just dont have the heart to play like that. So instead i just try to adjust.

No need to say sorry man, I'm happy to have got the game from you after our brief argument the last time.

Everyone plays differently, basketball isn't just about the best playing style win, it's adjusting defenses and offenses to what the other team does.

Even, and especially in real life the game of basketball is a reactive sport. You react to what the opponent does.

So quite frankly (this is for everyone) unless someone is getting over 80% of their points in the paint, and scoring like 40 points a game with the same player (e.g. we've seen cases of Brandon Roy, JR Smith, Derrick Rose), you just have to live with it and play on.

Wow, just lost my 3rd game by 1 point to J Keefy. I can't keep losing by a point, this is terrible.

Last play of the game, inbound to Tim Duncan and he layed it in over 3 players, including birdman and Mike Beasley, i coulnt believe it...

3 games lost by within 2 points and I've only played 12!!
Mind you none of these losses have been to bad sportsmanship so that is a positive.
The league is nice and competetive, having fun playing and really wanted to get a spot on the power rankings on friday but doubt that will happen :(.

I've lost by 2 twice myself! But managed to scrape home by 1 and 2 yesterday also :D Very competitive league! And it seems I have to create low scoring affairs for me to get close now.

Actually, if you take away your Free Throw points, you're at 68/90 and 76% in the paint, a further 6 points come from the same region but in the "close range" category, and only 17 shots have been taken in mid-long range for the entire game. That's probably his gripe. Particularly since you have a team that can shoot now too.

But I do agree, everyone has a different style and you need to be able to shut down all styles.
