What does everybody do other than collect cards?

26, play oz tag and touch footy, but slowly getting talked back into playing rugby league again, (swore i would never play again when i busted my knee bad 2 years ago.... but im getting the itch back...)

just started up a little record label that actually costs me money to do, doesnt make any, but its fun. Love watching league, cricket, and mixed martial arts. Fan of punk and metal music.

Was heavily into online poker, was building up quite a nice bank roll, but blew half of it on cards and lost the other half. So taking a bit of a break from that for now. Might make another run at it in the future.

Hey all, I am 31 years young, but my body is 31 years old (very old). I am a big fan of sports but paticually Basketball, Tennis and AFL footy. Used to play comp basketball and a bit of minor state league football till I was cut down with injury when I was 18-19 (bad knees).
I own my own stockbroking business, it is a small concern but it keeps me busy. If anyone is interested PM ME * Free Shameless Plug.
The Magic are my NBA team and Hawks are my AFL team.
Oh, and myself and my wife get out to play basketball quite often these days, as we have a half-court court in a park a couple houses down from where we live, woo.

14 years of age and my life revolves around NRL. I play up here on the sunshine coast for the Crushers and have just had my first injury split my knee open on the goal post and required seven stitches. i have worked once in my life and thought it was really fun(pizza maker) ohh and i go to school

Hey everybody,

Great Thread!!! I am 27 and I live In the northern suburbs of Adelaide. A huge part of my life revolves around my job, I am a stockbroker. I spend my days searching the market for that next 'hot tip' but am leaning towards more portfolio managament these days. I love my job, it is a passion of mine, which i guess is a plus as it make it easy to get through most days. If anyone ever is looking for a broker to invest into the market shoot me a PM and i am sure i can help you out.
Outside of work i just got married last October and built a house 3 years ago. I mention the later because we still havent got the gardens done LOL. I also play social basketball once a week. I am a major crows supporter/member and follow the AFL heavily. Other than that i play a lot of xbox and am online a few times a week shooting and teabagging people in Halo . Watch as much NBA as i can and a bit of cricket to fill in the time between footy seasons.

I serve legal documents for work, im 29, married last year in may, Luv going to gym, playin ball (not comp, just social- injured ankle 2 many times) love my hiphop big fan, collecting all things lebron - cards, figures (bobbleheads), shoes. luv playin ps3 still cant stop playin COD MW2, that games gangsta!!! also luv chillin and goin out wit my boys and gettin smashed in every way possible, thought id have grown out of it by now, but still goin harder than ever , gotta love it. I'm 27 (I think... tend to stop trying to count), engaged to a 22 year old and work for Fairfax Sunday Newspapers. Never really played bball except to chuck up a few 3's. Like to try every sport and so have played (with various success) cricket, soccer, bball, gridiron and am currently doing baseball and entering my 4th or 5th (again with the counting...) year of field hockey. Got smacked in the face with a stick last year which has given me a nice scar between my eyes...

Just recently decided to give up on collecting anything but PC, but love following most sports (and playing their fantasy games), especially NBA, NFL, MLB, NRL, Super 14 and EPL...

hey i must be the oldest on here. im 37 and a lender for cba. i collect only nrl signature cards and old scanlens cards. used to collec basketball cards back in the early 90's when i was living and working in hong kong. i love snowboarding, golf and cooking and love watching all sports.

Yeah, great thread. I'm 24 and am a software engineer from Melbourne. I used to play basketball quite alot, represented victoria which was great. Started playing basketball when I was 5 and finished up when I was 18 so played most of my life. These days I do the complete opposite and spend my days in front of a computer writing code lol. I like going to the Gym, watching movies and catching the occasional Tigers home games (NBL).

As with alot of the members on these boards I used to collect basketball cards heaps when I was a kid, getting a pack or two each weekend building up the collection slowly lol. I stopped collecting through much of high school but now that I'm a bit older and with much more money than I ever had when I was a kid lol I have the means to buy cards by the box/case load which is a great feeling. Thinking about when I used to get a pack each week when I was a kid its funny to see how things change.

Now I'm back into cards and been collecting for the last year or so. It's great to be back, lots of the enjoyment I had collecting cards as a kid as definitely come back! I remember having heaps of crazy insert cards and having the set of Fleer 96' Total O's was great, now these days there are jersey, auto, patches, some pretty amazing stuff out now.

Great thread, interesting to see what people do with their lives outside of cards! lol

just an idea guys and not too sure if one already exists, but can we create a sticky networking thread. By that i mean a thread where you post your occupation, state, area, specialty etc and what you offer. Members can then check the thread when they need say a plumber or stockbroker maybe and help each other out by giving each other our business.
I am a part of a couple of business networks that meet up every week and i must say the leads generated from this sort of networking are well worth it.
Like i said, just an idea. Let me know what you think guys

I am now the house husband.....so aside from the washing, dishes, shopping and other housework I am lucky I have time at all for my cards. I also keep busy fixing PC's for friends and watching all the stuff I get from my fav torrent site.

In High School I played for the State Championship baskeball team in 2001!! We kicked A$$!

Now I still play with an extra 30 lbs on my stomach in 3 different leagues in the area. Play 2-4 games a week all year long. I CAN STILL DUNK HAHA

Ahhh.. Townsville. Lived there for 3 weeks less than 40 years. Been in Brisbane for 2 yrs now. Just sold my house in Townsville 3 days ago. Used to live down the road from Dairy Farmers Stadium (is it still called that??).
