According to select there are no more cricket series this season (which answers the cricket rumour). NRL and AFL come out in march.

I was under the impression there was a new launch soon too, but thats all they advised me off when I gave them a call.

i doubt it. i would hope for a NBL set but i cant see them brining out and NBL set when the NBL season in neally over. i would say its just something afl or nrl thats not cards.

well, I too would love the nbl to get back onto cards.
with the nbl being as it is, on the verge of nothing, it supprises me
that the nbl haven't pushed for a card set themselves, cards play a big
part in promoting the sport and it's players, gets kids interested ect.

I reckon the licence for nbl cards could be got for free at the moment as anyone willing
to put up money to produce an nbl set would be struggling enough to pay the printers
let alone some licensing fee, so yeah it would be great but won't happen.

I reckon it's in response to topps, we are talking of a company that could swallow select in one gulp so I reckon select are looking to put a dampener on topps's afl chipz
before topps gets too excited with afl and start pushing for the licence, they may not get it but they will certainly increase the value of it, select are sitting ducks so I think
they are going with a chip/tazo product themselves and doing away with the stickers.

I totally agree with this post

Select seem to care more about kids who are collecting as its the fad at school etc. Howabout throwing the adult collector a bone who are in it for the long haul.
