The Official LA LAKERS thread!!

Cavs bench is flat out getting it done - West looks like he has his head together (touch wood) - hope he comes right - can be a real funny guy when he's not packing heat!!!

Stick to the 'jumpshots and bench riding' rather than the 'buckshots and ruff ryding?'

We need something miraculous right now...

I still don't understand how the Big Cactus can't make free throw shots after all these years. I love watching it, its like Charles Barkleys golf swing

Yeah, fair enough. And I will say the Cavs probably got the rub of the green in the third. It seems both games so far have been getting a bit chippy in parts, too... As for the Fisher charge, I didn't see a lot different with that than the Bogut blocking foul, which is what I was referring too, and I actually think Bogut had better position for longer than Fish did. And I'm probably a bit more miffed by that call when Laker fans on other sites seem to have a particular dislike for Varejao, because of his "flopping".

Hey, don't get it twisted! My dislike for Verajao is purely for his bad taste in hair do's... :ermm:

Brings back old memories... ;)

Lol! Actually, thats the first think I liked about him, before I'd actually seen him play... As for the game, before tip-off, I'd have accepted close loss. The bench has certainly stepped up for the Cavs tonight!

Moon, don't even pretend you called glass on that...

This is getting messy...

After that push, you CAN NOT tell me we get all the home court calls! Blatant push and offensive, won't effect the game but 'King James' get's his way...

It could've easily gone that way, but Kobe was bodying up a lot, and did lunge for the ball a bit before getting pushed off. But yes, it could've gone Kobe's way. LA fans at the arena getting a bit ugly, and ironicly its the fans of the team WITH Artest throwing things... But yeah, becoming a bit spiteful from both sides...

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! :D

Shaq and Kobe with the first blood!

Wow!

These elbows, pushes and shoves Brons gettin away with... If that was Ron Ron doing the pushing and shoving he'd have been ejected already. :yellow:

Good to see him keeping his head.

We'd wanna close this gap before half time if we're to make anything of the second half.

When a 6'10, 200 plus pound dude tries to run through a 6'1, 150 odd pound smaller dude... there's no such thing as a flop!

Close that gap Lakers!!! 20 points down to 10...

Am I the only fool awake for this??? :D

Waive it off Danny... Nice shot though! =D>

Kobe got away with a nice one there himself, absolutely destroyed Mo Williams ribs I think

Ah well, as a good friend says; 'You get that...' #-o

Weird, weird game. Cavs end our home floor run at 11 games.

Good job. =D>

Not to live in the past, but I'll take our away win (of only 2 losses for CLE in CLE in 08/09) with a Championship to boot, over this win for Cleveland in LA, as the reigning memory in this little 'rivalry'... ;)

Score 1 for the Cavs...

Unbeleivable numbers for Kobe but that's all there was to it, felt like a Lakers 05/06 game. No support. Without blaming Ron he didn't shut down like we needed, Odom didn't bring the fire from the bench and we simply DID NOT go to Pau... AT ALL!!!

Starting to support his subtle off court gripe but that's another story.

Worst thing about this game? 2 Wins in one day for the Celtics...

The Lakers bench is the main concern for me. Kobe and Pau are gonna bring it night in, night out. Bynum is a bit off atm (breathing problem and asthma or something) but the bench is terrible.

Ever since Odom started hitting Khloe his game has gone else where, no offensive aggression. Ron Ron while starting is up and down. Sasha well all i can say is bring your cards so u and Morrison can play a game while the real players play ball. Brown is great when he brings his energy to the court but today he looked flat. Farmar??? Whats going on there?? He's been real hit or miss but mainly miss, i feel he needs more court time and cut Fish minutes. Also will be a boost when Walton gets healthy.

Tough game today with far to many techs. Cavs played had nose ball and things just fall their way. Moons bank and double clutch 3's were worth a laugh.

Phil really need to shake up the bench i reakon. Give Powell some more minutes and even bring in DJ when Bynum is flat cos alot of teams lay off players like DJ and Powell.

On a side note, nice game by Kobe in a lossing effort today, 35, 9 and 8 and even tho he only shot like 35% he did hit 12/12 from the FT line but had a few calls gone his way he woulda hit 50 i reakon.

Before u trash me as a C's fan do u think the Lakers run well when Kobe goes and takes 32 shots?? U can look and say great game Kobe 35-9-8 but 11-32?? You'd be happy if the opposition were chucking up 11-32. I dunno - maybe it is others not stepping up...
As Oz said - Gasol anyone?? He has more moves than Tiger and he didn't get the ball....I'd be gutted if I worked as hard as him on the glass and got 10 shots or whatever he took....

Having said that I wish KG saw the ball more too!!

Got one from you guys...:D

I think this game is a good measuring stick for Cleveland to see what our bigs can do against championship caliber teams...

After the dissapointment of Xmas Day losing to the Cavs and then beating the Kings in Double OT.....How could it get any better you ask???
The Smeltics lsing to the Clippers on the road!!Id much rather lose to the Cavs @ home....Laughing all the way to Phoenix....:lol::lol:

I know you guys are missing Ron-ron but getting beat by 15 by Sacramento at home is not looking good. :(

You better get back in the 2nd half or else we'll be tied for the top spot after your game...;)

thats true but i really like the way the Kings r playing of late. They are doing well and JT hasnt even done anything yet. I think the Kings will be a rising team over the next year or 2 and will suprise alot of teams.

Also 60+% for Kings V's 36% from lakers kills u right there

Thnking exactly the same thing a few minutes ago. They are a rising team with Tyreke also giving them a very young team to go with the Thunder. I was going to add the Blazers but they have been unfortunate this year with injuries...
