Green v Jones Jnr!

Yeah, that was another "Blink and you missed it"... I was actually thinking of ordering both fights, backed out both times, luckily... I'll be getting Pacman/PBF for sure, though! Hell, even if it only lasts 2 rounds that one'll be worth it! =D>

i cant see that fight being anything but a very defensive pbf win.. so it should atleast last 12.. even if its pretty boring

I did catch the Pacman/Hatton fight online. I sat down to watchin it, and thought it was a highlights package of a previous fight or something. Got up and went to the fridge for a beer, came back, and Hatton was on the floor!

Yeah, I'm expecting Mayweather to dance, but I think Manny's got the speed to get in amongst it with him. And I don't think Manny will mind taking a bit of punishment, as long as he can dole some out, too...

only problem is, pbf could catch him coming in just like he did to hatton.. and pacman as much as he seems he can take a punch.. i have seen him crippled by skinny hussien.. who i must say was VERY unlucky not to have a W over him

Yeah, its always a possibility, especially if Manny starts loses it and charges. I haven't seen a lot of Manny's fights, and missed the Hussein fight, so can't really comment on it. The ones that I actually consciously watch coz of Manny were the DelaHoya, Hatton, and Cotto fights. I think the first fight of his I watched was the second fight with Moralez. I was in the Philippines at the time, so went on a bit of a bender the week around the fight... #-o Actually, I just looked up his record, the fight you're talking about happened in 2000, is that right? Hell, I can't remember who landed what in last week's pub stink, you're doing better than me...

haha im a tragic boxing fan mate, i really try and get as many fights as i can that feature australian fighters of my era.

Haha! Yeah, I used to be big into boxing for a bit, but other sports usually have taken precedence over the last couple of years. Used to love watching Prince Naseem! =D>

And following on from that article about Green, in a more recent article, it said Chad Dawson had expressed interest in fighting Green. Green's response? "I'd like to fry bigger fish than Dawson, definately!" This is the same Dawson whos beat Antonio Tarver and Glen Johnson twice each (both who have put down Jones Jr), has 29 wins from 30 fights, and he's "not big enough" for Green? For all Green's fake modesty, his head alone might make the required weight for his next fight, against whoever he deems "worthy"...

Just curious and excuse me for not knowing this already but What belts does chad dawson have ?

Just googled him. light heavy weight title... are dawson and green in the same class ?

I couldn't be 100% sure, but Wikipedia has Green as a Light Heavyweight, so if this is still true (depending if Green's gone up or down in recent fights) they could match up quite easily...

he only weighed in 4lbs over the light heavy limit to fight jones jr.. i cant see 175 being a problem for him.

As for Dawson, he would make Green look silly, so he really needs to pick and choose who he fights if he wants to keep winning and making coin. There is some winnable fights out there for him. I wish Paul Briggs was still fighting. Briggs v Green and light heavy would have been a great aussie fight
