We need to know a few things first:

1. Have you had other consoles in the past?
2. What type of games do you like?
3. Do you play online?
4. How many hours do you on average plan on playing games?
5. How old are you? (sounds like a stupid question but it does make a difference)

it depends on what you like.


PS3 - great for gfx and blu ray
X360 - great for online mulitplayer
Wii - great for controls.


etc....

people saying ps3 has better graphics but most of the games ive looked at arent in 1080, just 720 which makes it on par with the xbox yeah? i dont have either as ive never been able to make up my mind....the xbox is just in front cos u can mod it as ive already got a blu ray player

we have a 360 and a WII and the 360 is miles ahead in graphics and stuff but for full body involvement you just cant beat the WII

And I think X-Box 360 and PS3 are equal online. You have to pay for 360 but I think its the same as PS3

Grandparents are getting them a Wii at Christmas
Already have PSP
PS3+play TV+PSP= Record tele shows and watch them anywhere on my PSP

No you dont. All you have to do is connect to your internet via Ethernet or wireless and away you go! And its the exact same as 360 online, which you have to pay for.

360 is like $70 a year. so that is very cheap.

it is worth the better online service it offers.

Where's the sega master system poll option Alex Kidd craps all over these hip new games that all the kiddies are playing! Games these days let you save every five minutes, where's the fun in that? Slog it out for hours on end to get ever so close to finishing, pause that sucker and hopefully the following day after school there hasn't been a power cut or hope your mum hasn't switched it off at the wall!

ps3 sucks online unless game makers have their own servers. e.g look at MV2 if you have played it but it applys to most ps3 games, as soon as you get a couple of players in a game from somewhere around the world, it stuffs up the connection making you have one bar connection and lag unless you are the host so i think 360 is way better for online with its own servers and not having any lag
