yes it will work, cause it is PAL region. So EUR/AUS/NZ all wrok on our Wii.

how is the wii version? how are the controls?

Controls are easy to get use to. If you enjoyed playing fifa on the wii you will enjoy this. just learning hot to bat atm. Hit a 4 now trying for the big 1.
the harder you swing the harder the hit. and you shake the control to make the batsmen run faster. you can direct you shots etc, overall looks great.

but with fifa it was wrist movements.

Does this have flicking in it too. Or if you play proper cricket shots is it anything close to the real thing?

ie if you go a cut will it do a cut? etc..

yee you can flick, you can play most cricket shots. but you have to time your shots (there is a timing guide for your shots too). you can play cut shots etc.. haven't tried hook yet.
it is not that precise as sometimes you have to use the directional buttins to play sum shots if you want to hit in certain ares. Just remember this is not compatible with wii motion, if it was a wii motion game it would be precise.

Hopefully next cricket game uses the Motion+, I suggested that to codemasters a while ago. If they act on it is another matter.
