Not a bad team except for Gidley and Gallen. I'm surprised there are no Dragons.

Surprised would be an understatement, but still not a bad squad.

Gidley would be about first picked, he is a player who can fill any hole in the team, he will be the utility bench player every game.......

Only a couple of surprises in my opinion.

Justin Hodges who is he sleeping with......and Folau should race out and buy a lottery ticket...Thaiday must have also scaped in given the number of forwards selected.

Just out of interest - just watched the 08 world cup dvd with Hayne playing for Fiji - is there no stand down period for league - in rugby u can't jump ship to other teams for 2 or 3 years.....

I am pretty sure there is an exception for some of the minnows of the game... Hayne's first choice would have been Australia but given he wasn't even considered he is then allowed to help strengthen Fiji without penalty in the future.

I think Jennings also played for Tonga????

Yeah he did - makes sense - Doubt if Fiji have many tests coming up!!! Does that mean K Hunt could play for the kiwis then if he felt like it??

Not a bad team, but I am surprised Soward isn't there.

Why wouldn't they pick Gidley? I agree with Hobo that he would be one of the first picked.

Are you serious, What did he do toward the end of the year, NOTHING.(in a jerry seinfeld voice)

On a strange side note I heard Robbie Farah was picked for Lebanon for the Euopean cup....how that will work I 'll never know...

Yep I'm serious.....he guided them into the Semi's.... It's obviously subjective and a matter of personal opinion. Oh I almost forgot Round 26 he was man of the match scoring 2 tries / 5 tackle busts and made over 200 meteres...not bad

You could ask that "what did he do" question for many of these players:

What did Petro do........didn't even play ????

Jennings and Lewis only played a couple of games towards the end and Jennings was far from his best...

Thurston managed to guide his team out of the semi's......

Folau caught a bomb or two along with a chill out on the wing.........

Hodges managed to go through a whole season without polling a single Dally M vote......

I could go on... (I know there's no need to say it... I do go on and on and on) :D

Sorry, hobo dont mean to offend, it was a jibe, I am amazed that brett morris isnt in the team, and how they came up with half of these guys is beyond me as well.

Mate don't say sorry I know you were fishing, I didn't take it personally.....

I just like a bit of "debate" it helps pass the time.......

Yeah ........ Brett Morris is unlucky, so I would say is Creagh, Soward is still serving an apprenticeship for my mind, I would have picked Ben Hornby but would no doubt be in the minority there, Poore and Weyman well there's heaps of good forwards around and they were given plenty of opportunity to stand up and be counted....and didn't

Off the top of my head how's this for a 2nd team:

1 Stewart
2 Morris
3 Lyon
4 Monaghan
5 Tuiaki (is he an Aussie) nope then Carney
6 Soward / Barrett
7 Prince / Kimmorley / Wallace
8 Bailey
9 Ennis
10 Weyman
11 Creagh
12 Stewart
13 Stagg
14 Sutton / Campese
15 Douglas / O'Donnell
16 Hornby
17 Taylor /

Because he likes to pick up the ball in Origin with his feet over the dead ball line! Painful memories.

yeh lol but he was the only guy with the balls to catch that bomb when they were all waiting to smash someone. if it was me i wouldve caught it kicked it straight back to them and ran at them and smashed them.

Nice team! Cant believe Poore or Creagh were picked!

Im glad at least one Cowboy made it. I think O'onnell deserves it as he had great Origin games this year.

And Gidley is a very good Utility player of the bench.

And Tuiaki is New Zealander

O'Donnell didn't make it and I think Thurston is still a Cowboy at the moment at least.....is that what you meant...

Mmmm Tuiki is another bloody Kiwi, well lets think, I need another winger....perhaps Carney...

Yep, JT is a Cowboy up untill the end of 2010 (Thats if he doesnt resign)
