Hi all,

Ok, so here's the story .... I still can't believe what's happened ....

Went to the shops today and spent some $ on a variety of trading cards (NRL, NFL, MLB). Asked the shop assistant whether they had any packs of 09 AFL Select Champions left since I didn't see any on display. He said that they only had a few left and went out the back and got me what he said where the 3 last packs. I wasn't expecting much from them but was hoping to pull some Swans inserts.

Well .... here are the results from the 3 packs .... I think I might stop collecting the AFL cards after this pull ;)

Pack 1:
Commons of - Cameron Wight, Jonathan Brown, Nick Stevens, Mark McVeigh, Gary Ablett, Sam Mitchell.
GDC of - Jobe Watson
SG of - Brett Kirk :D

Pack 2:
Commons of - Brett Kirk, Adam Cooney, Chris Knights, Adam Bentick, Paul Medhurst, Garrick Ibbotson.
GDC of - Mark McVeigh
Double Trouble of - St Kilda (Justin Koschitzke & Nick Riewoldt) :woot:

Pack 3: (thinking that I couldn't do much better than the second pack)
Commons of - Adam Bentick, Paul Medhurst, Garrick Ibbotson, Matthew Scarlett, Brett Harvey, Paul Wheatley.
GDC of - Cyril Rioli
Double Trouble of - GEELONG (GARY ABLETT & JIMMY BARTEL)! :woot::worthy:

Lucky I was sitting down when I opened these packs otherwise I would've fallen over in shock ;)

The packs must have been from separate boxes, but still can't believe that I pulled 2 DTs - and from the grand final teams too! Have pulled one DT before of Carlton but sold that one. If anyone is interested in purchasing the DTs, PM me and I might consider selling them (if no one is interested, will put them on ebay). Would be looking for $35 for the St Kilda DT (postage extra) and $45 for the Geelong DT (postage extra).

After I open the rest of the other packs that I bought, will be writing about it (and putting pics) on my new blog (see my sig for the link).

great stuff Melissa!!! That will go well with the Carlton DT, i only have 1 DT from champs now after i traded my other 2 for DPS's, and i have a West Coast DT too

Yeah, it would have gone well with the DT if I didn't already sell it .... . Didn't think I would ever be able to pull another DT .... .

I have to pop back to the shop tomorrow to pick up some supplies, but after the luck I had today, I might end up buying some packs of other sports (they were offering to sell me a large stack of 90s MLB, NFL and NHL packs for $2 each - I bought some and might buy somemore).

I know how you feel mate....until I pulled the Mitchell Captain Sig this year I had a pretty long dry spell........keep busting (don't over-do it like some) and your lucky day will come!

Good Luck if you do go back for those 90's packs Melissa.....remember the BIG hits were pretty scarce back then!
