Went down to Peoria,IL over 2 weeks ago to try for its hometown native and current NBA player Shaun Livingston. After finding out and hearing about an event he conducts in his hometown at least once every summer, I thought I would give it a try since I never gotten him in the 4 years I been graphing the NBA. Livingston is one of those players I know has been a good signer, but I never had the chance to see him. That all finally ended when I caught him at a basketball camp he conducted at a local high school in the area back on Thursday.
I got to the event early enough to where he finally arrived at it 2 hours later. As I began my approach to Livingston, one of the staff members at this Peoria High School (watching over this event and Shaun) approached me and mentioned he wanted him to get through his session first and mentioned to go sit back up top until the session finished. I guess he was taking notice that I was hoping to get this NBA player to sign for me since I had a sharpie ready along with a binder. Another 30 minutes goes by and the session ends.
As the 1st session wraps up, I see Shaun Livingston starting to sign some autographs for the kids that took part in his basketball camp. I give it about 2 minutes and he is still there signing. I finally come down the stairs from sitting up top approached Livingston and no one had a problem with it. Here is what I finally got from Livingston for the 1st time ever back on Thursday!!!:

Shaun Livingston 5/14 cards, 1 Clippers Jersey, and a pic!!! (Its always nice to get an NBA player that you never seen before in 4 years of graphing the NBA. The funny thing about my pic with Livingston here is that, it was the same staff member at this high school that told me to go back up top to wait; Livingston made him take that pic and he knew him on a first name basis. I guess he must be Livingston's security/volunteer helper when he conducts his basketball camp as I saw him walking around the gym when this player arrived.) (2 for Xavier13)
That is all I got to share resultwise from this basketball camp in Peoria,IL.
It was a nice change to graph my favorite sport in the month of August which it is rare to hear of any NBA successes around this time of year lol.
