Just wondering how many people here tuned into the new GO! channel for the first time this evening?

What are peoples thoughts on the new channel??

I'm certainly enjoying the 2 new channels so far ONE HD and GO!....they add a heap more variety to my daily viewing!!:thumbsup:
 
lol i just happened to auto tune my tv again today and i got a few extra channels. GO is for young people and it has survivor gabon :P

Just wish it was GO HD instead of SD... :rolleyes:

What's the point of SD channels? Is HD too costly, to have all HD channels?

Either way it is a step in the right direction :)
 
it was ok, not a fan of big bang theory, but looking forward to watching seinfeld again, and i saw they got dog the bounty hunter, always good for a laugh!

I think it's more to do with "bandwidth" (for lack of a better word)...each network only has so much to play with....most of the HD you see at the moment is just a tweaked-up version of SD anyway...it's not true HD.

In the short-term the HD channels (except 10/Southern Cross) will be used to duplicate the main SD channel.

You have to keep in mind that this is all costing a fortune at the moment (particulalrly in regional areas)...from the initial digital roll-out (setting up each transmitter), meanwhile analogue is still running as well and then buying extra programs....all to hopefully attract viewers back from Pay-TV or the net.

Every new channel is a historic moment.....we probably take it for granted a bit. Before OneHD when was the last new channel added to free-to-air TV in this country??? Probably SBS for most people in the mid 80's to early 90's....so it isn't something that happens every day!!

Haha.. I still remember tuning in when Channel 10 just came on when I was a kid.... was pretty cool I thought! =D>
 
i had to retune my tv as i lost sound on all chanel 9 stations. then found that

and i got to watch my fav comedy atm in the big bang theory. was a good find :)
 
The new SD channel was pretty blocky so they must be broadcasting the new channel in a pretty low bit rate :( Hope they fix that up.
 
People are forgetting to mention the best show on TV ATM - Wipeout!

GO! should have just 24 hr Wipeout marathons :D
