That depends on how long the Eastern Conference Finals draws out. You're looking at one to two games tops.

Unfortunately at this stage One HD won't have any of the NBA Finals and nothing is scheduled as it's exlusive to ESPN. I checked it out before, game 1 which would be next friday is not scheduled on the Ten website but is already listed up on Foxtel's. I'll have all the information up as soon as we know who is playing who.

I'd love someone to prove me wrong though as I'd rather be watching it on One. :v:

im in bunbury so we dont get it at the moment ne ways all i meant is for the next season. be able to watch twice the amount of games instead of just 2 a week by poor as espn :S..

That's awesome news. I only just managed to catch the last 5 minutes of the game so missed it.

Looked on One tv guide online, and at the moment they have game 1 on saturday at 4:30pm.

So, at this stage I'm guessing that they will show the nba finals games, but not live.
Don't think it can go down as its on the wrong day, as if game 1 fell on the saturday (our time) then the 4:30pm timeslot doesn't fit in with a live game anyway.

So I reckon live and exclusive on ESPN, delayed next day on One HD

Trouble is I only have Foxtel for the NBA and AFL, that's literally all I watch out of the channels I have. So to get ESPN, I need the 'get started' package for $40 and then the sports channels for an extra $16, add the additional charges and I'm looking at $60 a month for an average of 8 NBA games and the odd Blues game that I'm not at like today.

If foxtel can't just sell me what I want I might even just switch to nba league pass and enjoy the free to air games that One HD is providing.

:eek: woah thats exactly what i do and not only that I've been telling everyone I know that there should be a pick your own package. like a top 10. you pick 10 channells for like $40 a month that you know you are gunna watch. instead of paying the base + sports for $56 a month to only get 8 games of nba a month like u said. theres nothing else on fox worth watching other than the nba and afl. hopefully by getting all these new hd channels it will kick fox up the ass a bit.

I wish you were working for foxtel, problem solved. ;)

I think after the end of the playoffs i'll give Foxtel a call again and explain the situation, with One HD's coverage (hopefully it's ongoing), I'm not really prepared to spend the money I have to for ESPN anymore. I'd rather give it straight to League Pass and all in all it will be more affordable. If Foxtel can offer something a bit fairer I'll be happy to remain a customer. I'm tired of being forced to pay for channels I don't and will not watch, it's redicualous and only makes sense in the money making scheme of things. But what else do these corporations need to worry about? How bout customer satisfaction?

I'm sorry this is not a joke. I wish people would read and think before they post, maybe admins can do an IQ test instead of a police check........


1) ESPN has the finals. OneHD has shown no ESPN because they are part of the FOXTEL package. If you want to watch ESPN games you have to have foxtel.

2) Be thankful for OneHD - it has been 10+ years with no free to air NBA at all.

3) They are showing the games delayed. If you are like me and do not have foxtel, this is better than not watching it all.

4) Yes I understand it will be extremely hard to avoid the result being spoiled....BUT do you want to watch the game or know the score?
 
what im going to do to avoid a spoiler is just boycott all nba sites until the game is finshed on Saturday.

Thanks OneHD i love seeing NBA on TV again, i still would love more games during the season. Baseball has 5 games a week and nba only has 2, you'd think more ppl in Aus would watch NBA over baseball i dont even think you can buy baseball gear over here.
