I received a box of 2002 Topps ACB Gold cricket this morning from Sonny, and thought i'd break it as a nice relax after the hectic weekend.

A few nice cards - I will get around to scanning them when I get setup properly - but I needed to show this one off straight away.

The funny thing about this one - the pack it came in looked like an "insert" pack - like they had actually opened the pack to put the Auto in and didnt reseal it properly. The pack was open at one end and when I picked it up I thought it was dodgy work by the manufacturers to not seal the pack up properly. Boy, was I wrong :)

Say hello to my new friend - Chad said he is now collecting Ponting cards too ;)

didnt know topps actually made cricket cards, do you know if they still do? that Ponting Auto has definitely tempted me to buy a box now =P~

the whole oz team's autos...now THAT would be a collection worth chasing!

Dont see many non-NBA cards around, and to see an Auto of "our capp'm", that's niiiiiiiice!!

I've been slowly getting around to putting together auto sets of the 3 world cup winning teams...the ponting one would fit in nicely!!! Great pull!!!
 
Thanks guys, yes its a great card and looks nice too. The old mobile phone didnt do too bad of job capturing it.

1:216 packs for an auto, and I got Ponting :) Pretty happy with that. In the box I got an Adam Gilchrist MatchUps card (had another keeper on it too, cant remember off the top of my head) and two packs had nothing but Contract subset cards - having never opened a box before of this stuff I dont know if its common or not.

No idea on BV, sorry ;) But theres an 03/04 Ponting on Ebay at the moment, when I looked this morning it was at $80+.

Once I get setup here (a computer desk and a power point in the 'computer room' will help my cause) i'll scan some of the cards and post them. Maybe by the end of the week.

Very nice graham! I once pulled a Simon Katich Signature Card from a pack of 02 Topps? I think. Long odds for that too.
Very cool pulling a Punter Auto though!
 
Simply beautiful looking card, it has his older signature too, the better one, which is definitely a more "full" signature compared to the lazier ones he does these days :thumbsup:

Great pull, waiting on a box of these myself, All I ask is for a ponting sig, a bradman tribute, a gilly GU, 2 full base sets and at least 10 of the other inserts in the one box...

Nah but seriously cant wait too open the box, for the price I am getting it for, Im happy as and thats all that matters - I only asked questions of this box because the seller himself questioned it and I saw other people's replies, and I too did not collect the 02 series, I dont have any of them... Yet!!!

Bring it on!
