Police Brutality!

Let me start by sayign I see things on both sides so dont think Im excusing the cops actions.
Im on dial up so I cant see the video but from the way it sounds she got more than just a smack on the wrist for assaulting a police officer. You may think its harmless but lets be honest, what if it caught him in the eye and he went blind?
Sure its pretty high percentage against that happening but its possible...I dont know if she's drunk or why she's being detained but to a certain extent I firmly believe that if you do what youre told by the police, you will walk away without a scratch.
There are times to argue with what a cop does but not while youre being detained and questioned.
Yes, there are times where cops will take things too far and I totally believe there are cops out there that are looking to cause you harm, you just have to choose your battles wisely.

She is heading into the toilet, and stops in the doorway as if the cops have just said something to her. She is wearing sneakers, she kicks them off her feet at about ankle height in a childish (in no way agressive) way. He could have just closed the toilet door, instead he rushes her, punches her in the face, tackles her to the ground, has her subdues but continues to punch her in the face.
NO excuse for that from the cops, whose mandate is to serve and protect, not punish and brutalise.

Thats just disgusting... She does nothing, they obviously tell her to take her shoes off or something and she does so. Sure, with a bit of attitude but to punch her, hard might I add, 3 times in the face/head is just brutal.... Bet ya it made him feel liek a man to. People like this should not be upholding our laws, they just abuse the power they have.

The shoe is flicked that softly I doubt it would have travelled more than a meter at ankle height.
Not only is she beaten but when they pick her up they USE HER HAIR!
I am a BIG supporter of the Police but these sort of IDIOTS should be removed from the force!
Let me describe the video for you:
A young teenager (16 I believe) is led to a holding cell and told to go inside by two police officers, she stands at the door and as it is about to close one of the officers asks her to remove her shoes. She uses he foot to loosen the other shoe and flicks it out the door (possibly towards the Policeman) at ankle height.
The police officer (a man) nearest her but not affected by the deadly flying shoe charges her and kicks her in the stomache, he follows it up with a right hook (punch) to her face then uses his left hand to slam her head into the wall. By this time the other officer has recovered from the offending shoe (sarcasm by the way) and is in the cell while the first macho male is continuing his assault by forcefully pulling the 16 year old girl to the ground by her hair!
Once she is on the ground he jumps on her back with his knees and subdues the savage girl (more sarcasm) and the other officer assists. The macho police officer who has already beaten the girl to within an inch of concussion then punches her with force to the back / top of the head (twice) then smashes her head onto the ground and cuffs her. he then lifts her by nothing but her hair and leads her out of the holding cell to charge her with the vicious assault that she just committed.
"Taking it to far" Not even close to that description

Regardless this happens to often only a few caught on tape not all but alot abuse the system and there position of power to became just plain scum of the earth three keys points -
* she was a kid
* she is a SHE
* and he looks gutless as a pig anyway for him to kind hit young women.
By the way the same scum of the earth cop killed two people once in 2001 and another in 2004 where he conveniently got cleared on both watching that tape makes me wonder if they where warranted kills or this guy is just plain scum of he earth that needs to be put out of action like a sick dog!

Couldn't agree more! The guy obviously has form in this regard, so I'm surprised he was even still in the force! As for the incidsent itself, Boo-fricken-hoo! She kicked a shoe at the officer. What was it, a shoe-bomb??? Total over-reaction on his part, and the fact it was a 16 yr old girl, like it or not, makes it worse...
Reminded me of something that happened to me around 5-6 years ago. I was walking home from the train station after a night out when 2 cars and a mini-van surrounded me, one car on the footpath in front of me, one behind, and the van next to me. 8 people (6 men and 2 women) in plain clothes jumped out, and screamed at me to get on the ground. I'd had a few drinks, so I didn't even think they were cops and they didn't immediately identify themselves, so I thought they were trying to kidnap me. I tried to run around 1 of the cars, but was tackled into a fence by 2 of the men. A third quickly put his knee in my back, and when I struggled they hit me across the hat with a baton. THEN they identified themselves, and demanded my ID. I said it was in my wallet, so they took it out. After looking at my ID, one of them said "It's not him!" So they let me up and explained they were after a drugdealer which they heard was on that train getting off at my station. So how was that my fault, huh? Before that I was willing to give cops the benifit of the doubt, but not any more.

Even going by your description, my comments hold water. If she hadnt kicked her shoes off in that manner, it wouldnt have happened.
Again, IM NOT EXCUSING WHAT THEY DID....just saying...do as your told and dont act up because youll never know when you run across that one guy who was picked on in school all his life and became a cop as payback to push others around that have to "respect" the authority of the law...never know when theyre gonna snap.

No offense but no one on this earth has the right to put there hands on any one regardless being provoked that is just an excuse!
What about her parents ? to see that and that is in insight to just a fliker at how this so called Authority" treat people over small incidents.
The way that Weak cop attacked the girl was a reaction to a bloke 6'4 110 kg attacking him at full force not a small young female with a bit of lip .
They are there to protect not abuse the system to throw there weight around by beating people , and the concept of having a tool that got his head kicked in at school as a cop out on the streets looking for payback is ridiculous is this what is supposedly upholding the Law and so called a protecting Authority ?

Couldnt agree more, the thing that makes it all worse its not one cop its two there is another guy there who does nothing but assist this assclown. This girl is just lucky footage got out, if it hadn't id be suprised if anything would of happened to him but i can guarantee this kind of crap happens all the time.
