Latest Movie/DVD you've seen, and what would you rate it...

Why we have to wait a month longer than America to see it makes no sense. It's Friday the 13th, the studios really could have used that here, day 1 at the Box Office falling on a weekend, well a friday at least that happens to be the 13th is perfect for this films release no matter what country it is.

March 12th just doesn't have the same ring to it. :ermm:
Watching all the originals over the weekend as a bit of a marathon. Shame i dont have Saturday the 14th (Terrible film, so bad its good) on dvd to go with em.

Looking forward to watching the remake, hoping its one of the better rehashes. Be interesting to see what they do with the remake of Nightmare On Elm St

Been a bit too enthralled by Lost atm though

Have you seen/do you have the third one in 3D? Wouldn't mind watching that. I grew up on these, more so the Nightmare films, hanging for the new one aswell.

Yeah I've been watching the Elm street Box set on and off trying to get it cheap on ebay. Caught the 3D Elm Street at the cinema aswell back in the day, wasn't bad at all for something different.

Haha. I popped in Friday the 13th Part 3 the other week, hadn't seen it for awhile. Man it has the best theme in the series, every time i hear it I wanna get up and boogie! I never seen the 3D one. I know they re released it on DVD as a promotion gimmick buy hey, a Blu Ray set is a calling, and I want to see the uncut versions.

Seen My Bloody Valentine in 3D recently, definitely a fun movie to watch at the cinema and so much better than the anaglyth 3D with the old school glasses. This RealD thechnology is tha shiznit. Movie was heaps better than I expected even with the guy from supernatural in it. 6.5 out of 10.

Watched Punisher Warzone last night. Actually, I watched something like the first 55 minutes. I can't give it a rating because I plan to never watch the last 30 odd minutes it was that bad...

Plenty of cut throat/shoot em up violence if that's all you're looking for but the main villains were terrible and almost '3 Stooges' like, but there was four of them which just made it worse.

Might give it another chance.....

Just checked out Friday 13th (2009), loved it!!! A few of my mates who came said they were disappointed, but you couldnt have gotten it any better IMO.

Plenty of hack & slash, Jason actually running - how freakin awesome is that, STONE COLD KILLER!!! Oh, and the hot women with their lovely boobies, as I said CAN'T GET NO BETTER!!

Can't wait for them to release another, I was so pleased that Jason didnt go thru the wood chipper, it would have been a crap way to die, as his body and soul would have been gone, with no hint of coming back.

I was actually hoping that when you see the necklace going down in the water, that his hand(s) would grab it, and that would be the end. Rather than him jumping out of the water (like he always has).

*****END SPOILER*****

Also hope to check out Punisher tomorrow. Looks pretty good from what I've seen. Hoping for more gore, guts and violence.

Yeah I caught that last night aswell, wasn't bad at all. Love the 'human' over 'supernatural' element they're bringing to the new Friday and Halloween, hope they can bring a little more reality to the new Nightmare aswell. The more believable it is then the more shocking it will be.

Now Jason's more premeditaded, messing with the victims, running around chasing them and not just slashing everyone and taking 1000 bullets in the process. It's as realistic as these movies can get anyway.

Only problem I had was there was this couple behind us that didn't shut up through the whole movie. Bagging what was going on, trying to predict what was gonna happen and getting it terribly wrong... Non Stop for 97 minutes, I almost lost it.

Damn I could never watch Friday the 13th haha I'm too chicken. Maybe i'll have to bring a pretty lady alongside me.. might be able to bare it then!

You really want to wet your pants next to a pretty lady?:thumbsup:

I just saw Gran Torino. And granted i had heard all the hype, but it really wasn't as good as i expected.

wal-mart the high cost of low prices.

it was interesting if you do not like wal mart or just like movies like these it's worth a watch, it's better just to catch it on HBO like I did or if you have a free rental check it out.

I will give you one spoiler

in China, Wal Mart make's their employee's work for 0.13 an hour and from 7:30 AM-10:00 PM 7 days a week.

also "TAKEN" was awesome

The Truth About Charlie - Terrible Terrible! The director of silence of the lambs could of done a better job on this one. The subtle humor, and poor suspense building let this one down big time. It could of been an decent movie, but it fails here. Another remake, another fail :D --4/10

Well I decided to go watch Gran Torino last night, maining cause I never got to earlier.

I thought it was funny, but the ending was abit of of let down, compared to Clint Eastwods oldskool style movies. I think it was designed for women to cry at the end

I don't know how you thought Gran Torino was funny :P

The message at the end if you analyse and interpret it like i did is a message of conscience and guilt. While the 'bad' guys towards the end had a chance to run from the scene before the incident occured, they didn't. Instead they knew they had done wrong. That's my interpretation of it anyways :) Anyways, great film! Probably not as good as Mystic River or Million Dollar Baby, but it's up there. --9/10
