Just wondering how you all watch the NBA? Do they show it on foxtel?
Anyone use a Sat dish and tune in?
Are their any other ways? internet streaming?
Let me know your thoughts!

Hey Blacky,

Generally Foxtel shows ESPN's NBA Wednesday (Thursday in Australia) and NBA Friday (Saturday in Australia) each week.

There are other ways to see games via the internet, however I'm not entirely sure they should be discussed here ;)

Unfortunately, NBA.COM - The Game Happens Here 's internet coverage via League Pass is not available to Australia as far as I've found.

Yup the posting of illegal torrent or streaming websites isn't allowed. Warnings will be handed out to all first time offenders.

There is NBA.com for the free audio version.

Also there are a fair few games on the free TNT viewer found here NBA TNT OverTime Extra: 2008-2009 Live Player

Or you can join NBA.com for a year, monthly pass etc for their streaming feed and access to all games and their replays.

Foxtel isn't bad if you don't mind the games involving the LA Lakers 75% of the time.

Would be nice if we could get access to NBA TV.

Also interested to see what this 'free view' comes up with as the sports chan owned by chan 10 apparently has acquired some rights to NBA games.

hmm yea we'll see....anyone gone out and got a c band dish and tryed to tune into the FTA channels??

Freeview provides nothing more than any other HD digital tuner...just the same 15 free-to-air digital channels. "OneHD" will be Ch 10's HD Sports channel, and should start in April this year.

Still im pretty sure they wont play the same **** on all three channel 7 stations if that makes sense (70,71,72 wont all be the same)
Well i hope not anyways!

That's sort of right with regards to Ten....Nine/WIN and Seven/Prime will run the following ( ABC and SBS are already running this) -
1. Regular SD channel (as you see now)
2. A new SD channel with different content (and some repeats of key programmes) Seven were looking at an "entertainment" based channel and Nine a "lifestyle" based channel...but this is changing all the time.
3. The HD channel with the same content as the regular channel or breakaway programming.

There are still queries regarding advertising on the new channels....and the start date will more than likely be pushed back to mid-year (particularly in regional areas)
