NBA 2K9 Tournament

i just got a 360 for my bday and have 2k9 and xbox live im up for it

i have a mic and would like these teams if possible Lakers, Hawks, Grizzles

FLEA - I noticed you're from US, that's cool, only you'll have to try and work a time with your opponent(s) when you can play, given the vast gap in Time Zones. Can you also confirm your Gamer Tag too buddy!

Is everyone happy with the rules, or game-sets, please discuss. I'd like to make sure everyone is happy with this before we get it going. Happy with the way we're going to position the teams/players?

I was thinking upping the time limit to say 8? That's at LEAST 30 mins game time.
 
I'm happy with 8 minute quarters, but I think the skill level should be upped to All-Star imo. Defence isn't really rewarded on Pro, with default sliders you can rain down tre's and jumpers with too much ease.

ugh man the hawks dont have jsmoove online :( meh
and also i am up all day and night so it doesnt matter really.

yea he is on the ir when i used em they diddnt have em on the bench is there any way to put him on there??

Yep, if you create a player match where you invite an opposing player with custom rosters in a private match up it should be all good, the player connecting to you would be playing with your roster I assume. Where just playing online your using the 2k roster that's fairly accurate. I'm pretty sure that's right, just a matter of trial and error. :thumbsup:

I would love to but for the next few weeks I'm constantly on call for work, I get called away at at weird & wonderful times. I would hate to leave a game unfinished & I don't have an option when that call comes in unfortunately.

I dont like it to much all the avatars stand very homo like there never straight or anything but the dashboard is nicer.
and also was wondering since the hawks dont have who i wanted could i use the blazers if not its fine.
 
Flea, you don't get to pick your actual team, you pick 3 teams, and the top ranked ones are randomly selected between us.

It's all random, only way to make an even system.
 
Looks like there's only room for 4, 8 or 16 players/teams according to 2K online.

So unless we can fill another 9 players, we'll just take another 1, and start the tournament.

Ducky & I confirmed tonight that J-Smoove is currenlty NOT on the Hawks active Roster. I'm assuming that we're only permitted to play with current players as they are playing in the NBA today?

Sucks, but also adds "chemistry" to a team.

We still need an 8th player, THEN... depending on their picks, the Bulls MAY make it... currently sitting in 8th position.

A pick to any of the bolded teams below would send Dros & BG7 home, Phill...

We've gotta try and work out if we can "reset" the online rosters too, would hate to see someone get a team who's slugged with Injuries.. (Hawks, Bobcats, etc).
