Hey fellas...

I am heading up to Sydney and Canberra shortly to spend Xmas with the family...

So point me in the direction of card shops in those areas :lol:

Now I just gotta think of a good excuse to sneak away from the rellies =D>

Also a quick question to those grading experts out there...
Are there many good gradings for 93'94 Stadium Club first day issues?
I am thinking of getting my Rodman first day issue graded since Graham mentioned that 94'95 Stadium Club cards were a pain to get graded.

Man there is only 1 card shop in canberra which is pathetic it sells packs of hoops for 6bucks a pop and upperdeck for 8bucks there are probly better shops in sydney!
 
Also hit up SpreeFan... his a member here and sells boxes in Canberra at great prices...

Im sure he'll get you a box for christmas! :)
 
Thanks guys... last I talked to Spreefan he was shifting to QLD! :) If you are around mate... you still in Canberra? Also Richie.. it is cool just PM me whereabouts that shop is and I will check it out :) I got a week to kill and would be happy to browse around ;) Much appreciated guys.
 
Sorry for pulling up an old thread, but are there any card shops in Sydney, preferably in or near the CBD? I only know of "The Card Shaq", which has changed names now I think. Does anyone know of any others?

I work in the CBD and only know the authentics shop (former card shaq).
Speak to westriot maybe he can help you out.

Yea The Card Shaq or Authentics as it's known now and Kings Comics in the city sell packs/boxes but they are pretty expensive. Da Playground at Parramatta also sells as well. But yea, check out westriot, a local seller here in Syd.

Thanks for that. I have seen westriots website and intend to talk to him when I'll be buying a box for my birthday.

I'm just really looking for somewhere I can browse and have a look around.

The guy at authentics is cool (no i dont have any connection to the company, i usually go there just to have a look) he is happy to have a chat and show you some stuff.

Oh yes, im based in the Sydney CBD also, im just on holidays at the moment however im happy (in early January) to bring some inventory in to show you the authenticity and breakdowns etc. Thanks.
 
An old thread which I have returned because I would have made a new topic otherwise..

As of August 2008, are there any card shops in Sydney? I expect they have declined..

The last one I new of was the shop in Mid City Centre (which I think is Card Shaq) that I used to go to for so many years, and its closed now.. I guess places like Phantom Zone or other hobby shops might sell packets, but are there any dedicated places anymore?

There are no real card shops in Sydney, just Sydney's only trading card show that happens every month. The next one is at Mounties Club in Sydney's southwest on Sunday 31 August 2008. Be there or be square.
 
hey i know card shaqs closing because of the new westfields but do you reckon its just gon move or what also with this kings comics do they actually sell cards i might go and check it out

If you want to pay 2-3 times what you would pay if you went to the Sydney card trading shows, then yes, you should go.
