What's your favourite US drama?

Law and Order is the most contrived and predictable show on telly. I liked it when it first appeared until I realised that it is just the same episode every week.

The writers on that show have the easiest job in the world...

While that may be true, the music makes it great and it's always entertaining, even if you know it's predictale.

And when it's not.. it ends up being a great episode because of the element of surprise.

For me, was the Sopranos easily. IMO its the best show ever!!! Oz and Heroes are good but too many poor episodes

If you haven't watched the wire it's the best police drama ever made.

Hard choice between Sopranos and Dexter,

but I think Dexter has a more clever story with a little bit of humor in it. So I'll vote for Dexter as my fav US show on TV atm.
