Just got back from the phil. thanks to the attyball guys especially Edsel and Brian for the great fun and the cards. Here are some of the stuff I got:

2x 14K gold Wilt and Dr J. both 1/1

I think I read that those Lettermen was sposed to have like $300US worth of Gold in them?????
EDIT:
Not quite $300, but it's on the back there, what's that, $228.17??? So that card alone is "worth" over $230US before you consider the Letter and player!!!

went to school with brian (the guy opening the packs) and met edsel (the guy with the glasses - he has a store in ghills. Always nice guys if not a bit crazy in a fun sense. the dr j has 302.1 worth of gold and it is quite heavy for a card.

Amaaaaziiiiiiiiiiiingg!!! :shock: I've seen the 1/1s on ebay but they're worth like $22.41 based on the carat and weight, never anything like $300 before...cool story on meeting up with attyball23 and the rest. It must be surreal for him to be the topic of discussion on so many card collecting sites. Did you get to see "THE FOLDER"?

i thought most of them had a decent chunk of gold in them? $2-$300 worth

the new 08-09 topps rookie ones dont have much, $10-$20 worth

That letterman is about 0.2 oz so you can keep an eye on the value of gold there with the daily market trade!!!

The gold is casted on the letters (they look like cloth but they are real gold. these cards are real heavy and if they are in packs you will know you have one. I saw "the folder" or as they say "binder", a while back but not witht he updated pulls. But even then the patches they keep would blow your mind (if i did not know them better I would think they fake patches cause they are surreal.
