September is here and it's down to 8 teams in the first week of the Finals this weekend, who will get the week off and who will say goodbye for 2008. Friday Night will see the Mighty Hawks do battle against an out of form Footscray, Saturday with the Dark Horse Adelaide at home against the Pies, Sydney hosting the Roos & Sunday Geelong v the Saints at the MCG.:D

I think the Hawks will win in a tight one, Adelaide will wave goodbye to Collingwood. Sydney will hopefully knock the Roos off because the Roos have had the wood over Hawthorn in past Games. Geelong vs St Kilda will be a great game and I'm tipping an upset, I know it's Ripley's Believe It Or Not material but the Saints are a real chance.

My Tips in Red.

Hawthorn v Western Bulldogs
Adelaide v Collingwood
Sydney v North Melbourne
Geelong v St. Kilda

You think Saints would beat Geelong at the Cattery? That's laughable, but regardless, Geelong v Saints is at the MCG, not the Cattery ;). That said, Cats will still bolt it in. Hawks and Bullies are the only legitimate chance of knocking off the Cat's this year.

Saints may have a fairly strong forward line to counter our defence but their midfield is far to slow and unskillful to match it with Geelongs. Cats will win by 40+ points.

Roos play well as underdogs but Swans have finals experience, so that game could go either way. Adelaide should destroy Collingwood, but the Hawks v Bullies could be goal for goal and if it is I'd tip Bullies to sneak accross the line; Hawks haven't proved they can win the close ones :D.

hehe wasn't paying out the mistake, just the fact u think Saints could win in Geelong hehe. The Cattery in a final would go nuts, I'd say half of Geelong would be outside the ground cheering. Few more members and we'll have a 40,000+ ground :woot:

To be honest I can see the Cats flogging the Saints but I'm just a typical one eyed Hawks supporter and I want to see them lose for a change.

Cats, Hawks, Crows and 50/50 game...Swans.

Cats will win the flag by 10+ goals over whoever they play, and my tip is it will be against Crows.

u hope the kangaroos lose to sydney because youre scared of us well even if sydney beat us hawthorn wont be going to the grand final I think u got a defeatus attitude you gotta be more confident than that. last year was the first year in a while 4 hawks and they would be better for it so I hope youre wrong and hope that we get a rematch of course I hope we win but the main thing is that its fairly umpired and that its played in the spirit of the game sorry bit upset with your reasoning i think its a bit selfish if was because u thought sydney was a better team that would have been better reason and more acceptable hawks wont get anywhere if there scared of certain teams have more faith in them

I'm suprised someone would be upset from a light hearted comment about a game of football, my post wasn't making any sense but I have just edited my post and hopefully it makes sense now. I don't think this was really worth a personal message to say that my blog was rubbish, this is a public forum feel free to post those comments in here as I have very thick skin.:D

no no you took it the wrong way i was trying to say that geelong (1st) plays st.kilda (8th) when last year it was the 1st 4 teams played each other and the 5th to 8th teams in the elimination sorry if u took offence it just didnt seem right never an attempt to put you down something didnt seem right about sorry but did get a couple games mixed up accidently or something be  man i didnt mean it the way u took it

look are u sure geelong plays st.kilda anyway if youre team going to make it to the big one wouldnt u want them to beat a team thats played the better football other the course of the year i mean if it meant we had to beat geelong so be it u now

I'm pretty sure Geelong play St Kilda this week. If i'm wrong then I'm sorry and I need to change my sources of information.
